My new puppy has roundworms. Couldn’t reach anyone that works with GoodDog to tell them about it.

Fraudulent Practice
While browsing through available Puppies for a German Shepherd puppy, came across a list for a 15 weeks German Shepherd puppy for $1500. I applied for the puppy and Good Dog CONFIRMED BY EMAIL my application for the puppy AND CLEARLY STATED PRICE $1500 INCL. $500 DEPOSIT" and suggested I go for deposit payment. In the process I found the total price became $2000 incl. of $500 deposit. This is not right. I have Good Dog confirmation email stating otherwise. I refused to transact with Good Dog . I will not buy my puppy through Good Dog.

Hi Kiran,
Thank you for reaching out! It’s extremely important to us to make pricing information clear to buyers on their puppy search, which is why you can see a price breakdown on every puppy listing that includes information about the deposit, puppy payment, and total payment.
We’re so sorry you didn’t have the experience you came to us for, and a member of our Care team would love to connect with you to answer any of your questions about how pricing works on our platform, as well as recommend other breeders who may be a better fit for you.
Please feel free to send us a note at [email protected] or give us a call at 1-855-446-6336.
We’re looking forward to connecting with you and helping to turn your experience into a positive one!

This lady has a bad temper.
I bought an Aussie from Melinda at Melick kennels on June 6th 2020, The dog was great, however she is not. On or around when we took our pup home her father died of cancer, a few weeks later she had posted on Facebook a RIP post for him, so I asked why he died and why she didn't tell me and she FLIPPED OUT. She went on and on about how it cant be tested for all while calling me all kinds of names. She sent me paragraphs upon paragraphs repeating the same thing, that it's not hereditary. There's not proof as to weather it is or isn't. MY ISSUE was the lack of communication and then the way she treated me afterwards. She continues to degrade other breeders in the area, she posts their pictures and talks smack about them. NOT the kind of person you want to do business with. Also the dog came with a very intense contract, that states she could take the dog if I broke anything written in it, including what I can and can't feed her and if I changed my contact info and didn't tell her. It also stated she was a pet only so I could not show her, her way of keeping her competition down in the show I suppose. They come chipped so she can always keep tabs on them. Again, great pup, but terrible trashy lady. Stay on her good side if you purchase a dog from her. Oh and she charges everyone different prices!!! Make sure your not paying more than everyone else.

I will not use Good Dog in the future
I will not use Good Dog in the future. On their site they state "do not make payments outside of the website and let us know immediately if you are asked to do so." Well my very first experience with Good Dog, that's exactly what one of the breeders asked me to do. Prior to me digging into their policies or really researching their site I sent $300 deposit to this breeder. Then started reading their website and became very uncomfortable about completing the transaction with the breeder. I reported this to the company, they took a week to get back to me. Even after the complaint was filed, they allowed this breeder to continue using their website as a breeder even though she was completing transactions outside of the site. Saying in the chat that she did not trust her bank information on Good Dog, so on and so forth. They were also aware that this breeder Geno (fake name) took my $300 and refused to refund it because I didn't trust what was going on with her. So I lost the money my stupidity, but then when told about the situation, Good Dog allows people like this to continue to do business on their site. The good thing is I found another breeder that I worked with and got my sweet little girl, even though she came to me sick from the breeder but hopefully its nothing bad. We will see Monday at the vet. Overall not a great experience at all! They are not as stringent on their guidelines as they claim to be, therefore the integrity of their site is diminished greatly.

Hi Sheri,
Thank you for reaching out! We’re glad that a member of our Care team was able to work through this issue with you. As they shared with you, we are unable to offer assistance with transactions that occur outside of our platform. At Good Dog, each breeder sets their own individual policies with buyers, especially around whether a payment is refundable or non-refundable. We encourage puppy buyers to choose a breeder whose policies align with what they feel most comfortable with, because we do honor the policies that a breeder and buyer agree to.
In case helpful, buyers are notified of our On-Platform Payment Policy each time they begin a conversation with a Good Dog Breeder on our platform.
We take enforcement of our standards incredibly seriously and have a process in place in which we conduct an independent investigation of all complaints in order to ensure that our standards are enforced consistently and fairly. As a result of our internal investigation, this breeder is no longer part of our Good Dog community.
Again, we’re sorry about this difficult situation, but are glad to hear you were able to use Good Dog to find your four-legged best friend. We hope this answers your remaining questions, and are always here to support you, should you need anything in the future!
Warmly,
-The Good Dog Team

Bought a French Bulldog from Rimix Frenchies
We purchased a French Bulldog from Rimix Frenchies. The dog is bright, smart and funny.
We wanted an older dog who was housebroken. What we got was a older dog who was not housebroken, had hookworms and ringworm, missing the required shot series for a 7 month old puppy. We are working with our vet to fix those issues.
We reached back to the breeder about the ringworm (a fungal infection not a worm) and the hook worm, she stated “We live in the country”.
To Good Dog, while I understand that your response to this review will be an attempt to “market” a positive resolution - disclosure of what constitutes your breeder review program would be extremely helpful to buyers during the purchasing process. That is our definition of a positive response.
Note to all puppy purchasers when you pick up your puppy, please inspect the dog before completing paperwork or final payment. Unfortunately, we allowed the dog to be handed to us after signing miles of paperwork which essentially established that the dog was ours no matter the delivery condition.
Insofar as payment and the up change that Good Dog placed on top of the purchase price there is no way to avoid that. They are correct that they offer additional services that can be declined at check out, but not the up charge for the service of connecting buyers with breeders.

Hi Shannon,
Thank you for reaching out – we’re so sorry to hear of your dog’s medical needs. We’re glad our team has been able to work with you towards a resolution, as well as help refund the costs associated with your pup’s treatment.
As our team shared with you, every breeder in our community goes through our screening process and must meet or exceed our community standards, including our Breeder Code of Ethics and our minimum health testing requirements, before joining Good Dog. Information about our standards and screening process is included in all puppy listings on Good Dog, but you can always read more here here:

Good Dog is completely free to use, and does not charge for the service of connecting buyers with breeders. We offer buyers the opportunity to complete their payments on Good Dog with Protection & Support for a small fee that unlocks additional benefits, but this fee is completely optional, and buyers are always welcome to pay on Good Dog with 0 fees.
Again, we are sorry to hear of your dog’s veterinary needs, but are glad to hear about the dedicated care you are providing. We hope this answers your remaining questions, but please feel free to contact us at [email protected] if there’s anything else that we can help you with.
Warmly,

I purchased 2 puppies thru good dog
What do you mean I did not complete payments? Then how do I have the dog in question?
I was just told my review is being deleted. Guess because it's not a good one. Way to take care of us buyers out here. I reached out in hopes yall could help me but anything over 50 bucks is a no go. I will be leaving reviews on every platform I can. You shouldn't bully people.
I purchased 2 puppies thru good dog. Female then male. Was told the male had shots and rabies but wasn't given a rabies tag. So I took the male to the vet and shots were given. I bought this dog because he looked like my female and wanted to breed in a couple of years. Vet told me he has one testicle in his belly and will have to be fixed. This broke my heart because again we wanted to breed and I do not want him to have to have surgery. I reached out to the breeder and was told since they lowered the price on him they couldn't help. So I reached out to good dog. Lots of calls and emails for many days. Basically was told if I didn't have proof via text message or on good dog app saying I was going to breed they would not help me. What I don't understand is why they needed proof that I specifically told breeder I was going to breed. The fact that I got a dog with this issue I feel they should make things right as in wave the deposit fee on another male down the road. Good Dog said they would wave they fees they charge which is less than 50 dollars. I don't feel like they back up what they say. I got a puppy with a defect and no one will help us. I hate that now this little guy will need surgery and now we will have to find another male to purchase if we are going to breed. While we are not breeders I just wanted one of our dogs puppies in a few years. We have spent a couple thousand on these pups and we love them so much. Good Dog should do better about taking care of the customers and not just themselves and the breeders. I supplied you documents from the vet per your request, however because I do not have it in text message or on messages via good dog stating I wanted to breed you didnt help me and acutely employed I didn't purchase to breed. Why buy male and female same markings and why imply that what I said was not true?

Not the dog we were promised
About a year ago we bought a Maltipoo from Stephanie with Amazing Cali Pups. We just got her DNA back and discovered we got a Peekapoo, not a Maltipoo! This explains our dogs underbite.
Stephanie was always so secretive about everything. She would never give us her last name, let us see where the dogs were bred, meet the parents and wanted only cash. The whole exchange took place in the mall parking lot!
Despite not being a Maltipoo our pup is cute, smart and non shedding
