I did not have problem with Gooddog - my problem was with the breeder (who shall not be named but she will know who I am talking about).
I picked out a yorkie, paid the deposit and just because I asked questions about the day & time for pickup and what kind of dry puppy food I should have available once I brought the puppy home (all my voicemails and emails went unanswered) AND she decided we were not a good fit & now is returning my deposit - pulling the sale! Buyer beware & don't ever ask this woman any questions!!

Do not trust LissAlana Papillons
Do not trust LissAlana Papillons. Lana Smith Wuolukka is the breeder, in Georgia. She assured us the papillon we were interested in was genetically healthy and claimed it had been a show dog. She even provided paperwork of her cleared genetics. When we met the dog, her teeth were rotten and her breath was terribly offending due to it. We loved the dog already and wanted to give the sweet animal a good home with proper veterinary care, away from this breeder who had the dog for 1 year with no dental care. Lana Smith Wuolukka claims to have gotten this dog from a breeder in Michigan who, in my opinion, probably shouldn’t be breeding. The same for Lana of LissAlana Papillons, though, who allowed this dog to live with rotten teeth and painful abscesses for a year under Lana’s care; and bred this dog. This dog, under Lana Woulakka's supervision, had one female black and white pup who will unfortunately most likely also have the poor dental genetics of her Dam which Lana Woulakka chose to breed. Just because you're a breed enthusiast doesn't mean you should be a breeder of them or that one can be an ethical, professional breeder. The poor dog we bought from LissAlana Papillons required a nearly $2,000 dental surgery to remove all of the dental decay that Lana Woulakka let fester in the poor animal. She is cute though, isn't she, Lana? That's not enough. Animals require and deserve proper veterinary care.
We bought this dog for $1,400 drove all the way to Macon, GA when Lana had promised all along to meet us nearly 1/2 way, until we got to the meeting point and she told us at the very last minute that no we would have to come the entire 5 hour drive to Macon. So, we did.
We accepted the slightly malnourished, nervous dog with super poor dental health. Made a vet dental cleaning for her as soon as possible. At about 2 1/2 years old her teeth and gums were the worst the vet had ever seen. Nearly all the teeth were infected and abscessed. 33 teeth had to be pulled from a “show dog” not yet 3 years old. The veterinarian said it was undoubtedly due to the dog’s genetics. A dog not even 3 years’ old could not have acquired such neglect due to diet or their living environment, etc.
I don’t know much, but the first thing a judge does at a dog show is look at the dog’s teeth. There’s no way this dog could have been a show dog prior to us buying her. Lana from LissAlana Papillons had this dog for 1 year and did nothing about her poor dental care. That’s neglect. This breeder lied about the pick-up arrangement, genetic clearance papers provided, the back story on this dog and worse didn’t allow the animal a proper dental cleaning in the year it was under her care, when it was visually obviously needed. This woman should not be breeding or housing animals.
There is no venue to post a pic with this review, or I would, along with the veterinarian report. That poor animal’s rotten, abscessed teeth had to be pulled. 33 of them. She was left with 7 viable teeth. At least she is healthy and free of infection now.
Also, Lana claimed the dog was house trained and pad trained. She is not. To either outside or pad. She continues to have pee and poo “accidents” all over the house, because she is not house trained at all.
We love this sweet dog very much and are so thankful she’s in a loving home now that can afford and does prioritize proper medical care for any animal for which we are responsible.
Lana, you are a liar, unethical and very nearly criminal. I have reported our experience with you to ASPCA and the American Papillon Club. Officer Cson Johnson of the Bibb County Sheriff's Office & Animal Welfare is conducting Lana Smith Woulakka's and LissAlana Papillon's case of animal neglect and unethical breeding.

Payment protection is a scam
Payment protection is a scam. Good dog did nothing to recover my deposit which no where stated was it ‘non- refundable’. And I did not sign any contracts. Lots of back of forth with no resolution. Will have to go to small claims court to get my deposit back.

Hi Jacob,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad that our team was able to communicate with you over the past few days, as well as reach out to the breeder on your behalf.
As the team shared with you, this breeder does have a deposit policy that is non-refundable. Each breeder sets their own individual deposit policies with buyers, especially around whether a deposit is refundable or non-refundable. We encourage puppy buyers to choose a breeder whose policies align with what they feel most comfortable with, because we do honor the policies that a breeder and buyer agree to. Although this breeder does have a non-refundable deposit policy, we are very glad that she has already let you know she is willing to refund your deposit
We hope this helps answer your questions related to the non-refundable deposit you completed. Please feel free to reach out to us if there is anything we can do to help or if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach out to [email protected] or call 855-446-6336.

You will only be disappointed
Don’t purchase any animal on this platform. I was cheated out of a lot of money because of lack of care and communication from “Good Dog”and especially the dog breader “Furtick Danes & English Bulldogs” the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The breader was so unprofessional and completely disrespectful and Good Dog doesn’t care what happens to people as long as they get there money. Please don’t use this site I truly wouldn’t want anyone to go through the sadness and complete disrespect my me and my family experienced.

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
We understand that the breeder you were working with tried to arrange a pick-up date for your pup a few times, but you ultimately decided not to move forward with the purchase. We appreciate how disappointing it can be when things don’t work out, though we were glad to hear that you did receive a refund.
At Good Dog we work within the agreements made between our customers and breeders to ensure that everyone's expectations are met. We also believe it’s important to find a breeder that you feel comfortable with. We are so sorry the breeder you were working with ended up not being the right fit.
Please let us know if we can assist you with anything in the future.

Constructive
Constructive, honest and helpful: Following the AKC guidelines of breeding Yorkies and Morkies (no earlier than 8 months), the 'compliance team' deemed that my female Morkie had been bred too early at 9 months. My puppies and advertisement was taken off, leaving me to work individually with each buyer that had placed a deposit on two puppies, and those who were in the process of deciding to buy. I have bred AKC Yorkshire terriers under the guidelines of AKC for years. After diligent reading of all portions of the Good Dog platform, I have failed to find breeding age guidelines. Why are these not posted, especially in conflict with AKC guidelines? This has been an unfortunate situation for me and my buyers.
If I failed to find the breeding age guidelines, I offer your my apologies. The purpose of my correspondence to you today is to prevent this from happening to another seller, placing them in the very awkward position in which I have been placed.
Constructive: Please be clear about your guidelines.

Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for reaching out. We’re glad that a member of our Compliance team was able to share our Good Breeder Code of Ethics with you, and direct you to the specific policy that applies to your situation (Breeding and Care section 4): https://www.gooddog.com/breeder-code-of-ethics
As previously shared with you via email, one area that our advisors and screening committee considers is a dog’s onset of breeding age in order to optimally maintain their health and welfare. Based on recommendations from canine reproductive veterinary specialists, our screening committee typically likes to see that Morkies and Yorkshire Terriers are allowed to mature to 12-18 months before being bred.
We hope this answers any remaining questions you may have. We continue to wish you and your program nothing but the best!

Don’t trust them as a breeder or buyer
I am a breeder and good dog just decided to close me account without giving any explanations. There are breeders who transport pregnant dogs and they ignore it. There are also breeders not in the US and they don’t care. Somehow my account got closed.
Considering how many breeders I found there that I wouldn’t go near, I am not reopening my account. I would rather just sell on AKC marketplace.
Good dog is asking if people test their dogs but they don’t actually check.
As long as the breeders sign that they have tests and follow the rules they are accepted.
I breed at home and to improve the breed.

Hi Sally,
Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry, but we don't have a record of your account with Good Dog.
We're happy to share some more information on our screening process, in case helpful. Every member of our community must pass our screening process and meet or exceed our community standards before joining Good Dog. You can read more about our process and Good Dog’s Guide to Health Testing (including breed-specific health testing) here:

We asked for Mercedes
We asked for pictures and videos of Mercedes, but we were given a few pictures of her but looking inactive and depressed. We were worried, so we asked if she was okay but the breeder insisted she was healthy. When we visited their home, the breeder seemed nice but the family was unwelcoming. I also noticed the area was unsanitary and all of the puppies had diarrhea. We also noticed that the puppy’s second round of vaccines were given on her 8 weeks, which to me it seemed very irresponsible from the breeder considering that we let her know we were flying back home and it would stress the puppy. We took her to her first vet visit, and they told me that she had a weak immune system and it was because she wasn’t breastfed enough.

Puppy scams!
Puppy scammer (Hargaden Huskies) was hosted on their website. I sent the dna proof and all correspondence with the scammer, yet Good Dog still hosts their scam.
I found the breeder through Good Dog, but used Zelle to pay for the puppy so Good Dog is pretending that means they aren’t hosting a scammer. I do have an account with Good Dog, but they’re choosing to lie about that instead of addressing the scam they’re hosting.
Response from Good DogApr 18, 2023
Dear Noah,
We understand that you did not purchase a puppy through Good Dog and do not have an account with Good Dog.
The prevalence of scams is actually one of the reasons we started Good Dog - to easily connect people with responsible breeders. Good Dog is on a mission to use technology as a force for good to make it simple for people to get dogs from responsible sources.
We are sorry to hear about the experience you had outside of our platform, and wish you nothing but the best
