Beware of working with Centurion Canines
I recommend not using Good Dog or purchasing a dog from Caitlin Fowler of Centurion Canines. Caitlin with Centurion Canines, at first provided great information and was responsive with her follow ups. Everything seemed to be normal until I gave her a $500 deposit to secure a male from their next litter from the female mom that we agreed on. After the deposit, there was missed timeline after missed timeline and I no longer received updates from Caitlin and responses from her were starting to be delayed. I was very patience and understanding as I know this can happen and there is little control over when the dog gets pregnant, however, I am very disappointed on how there is no protection for the consumer when the agreed upon timeline and parents of the expected litter is missed and changed. Caitlin then proceed to try and pass us off to another breeder they had used in the past. This was not an option for us, however as we had already given her $500. I was skeptical about purchasing through a breeder because of this reason. I felt better about the decision due to me finding Centurion Canines on Good Dog's website. For some reason, I thought the requirements were higher for a breeder to be listed on Good Dog's site, however, after review, it seems like any breeder can list on this website which is very disappointing. I write this review to make buyers aware as many of us are excited to add a new puppy to our families. Just please be cautious on who you work with. Keeping $500 from not meeting your end of the deal seems like robbery and is not the right thing to do.
