The breeder is a scam artist wanting me to send money b4 we could see the puppies. All emails went through Good Dog, thus I have the proof. Upon saying I will drive the 250+ miles, they immediately said the dog was sold. No website, no auditing by good dog for quality. This is nothing more than a cheap misleading bulletin board. Stay away from these crooks...
Buyer beware...
Update: October 27, 2023
I don't think so ...
Nice boilerplate rhetoric...

Hi Garrison,
Thank you for reaching out.
At Good Dog, each breeder sets their own individual policies with buyers around when they expect puppy payments to be completed. We encourage puppy buyers to choose a breeder whose policies align with what they feel most comfortable with. Our team is always happy to help you find a breeder who better fits your needs, and you can reach us anytime by emailing [email protected]
We hope that answers your remaining questions.

Buyer Beware
We purchased a puppy who was said to be potty trained and well behaved. We understand that there is an adjustment period with being in a strange place with different people, but this puppy has taken this adjustment period to extremes. We contacted the breeder since there was a supposed money back return policy, and we were told we didn't give him enough time to adjust. So we have waited. We got the puppy in June, and he refuses to learn that he needs to go outside to go to the bathroom. He shakes uncontrollably and constantly crys at night while in his crate. We have a suspicion that this breeder is running a puppy mill, due to the amount of puppies they produce, in the size of the facility they have, and the issues that our puppy has. He seems to have learning disabilities, since he cannot understand simple training methods. I would not recommend this breeder. They are cheaper, but I believe that is because they are running a mill and they are just trying to make a quick buck. Buyer beware! Absolutely would not reccomend getting a puppy from them.

Not a good source to find a healthy dog
Received a dog from daystar dobermans, a breeder I found on gooddog, and she came home dog reactive (barking and hiding from other dogs). The breeder told me I could bring her back for a different puppy after I worked with numerous trainers over 4 months because this “had not happened before.” When I arrived at the breeders home after an 18 hour drive, she went absolutely crazy screaming and throwing things then tried to give me an injured 6 month old puppy. Contacted gooddog and they did nothing except for conflict resolution for a week and refunded my $95 payment protection fee. Breeder is still active on the site and doesn’t even do the bare minimum health tests that she and gooddog advertises that she does. Puppy has 3/4 markers for the #1 killer in Dobermans (DCM). Advertises glorified puppy mills.
Edit: The refund the company is referring to is the $95 payment protection fee because it doesn’t protect anything (: I did not get a dime back of the other $2,000 for the puppy or the $500 spent driving to the breeders house to be traumatized. A BBB complaint has been filed.

Hi Abigail,
Thank you for reaching out. We’re glad our team was able to connect with you about this issue, and work with you towards a resolution and refund.
As our team shared with you, all breeders of Dobermans on Good Dog self-report to performing appropriate breed-specific health testing on all of their breeding dogs, and are subject to periodic audits by our team to ensure they comply with our community policies and standards. By performing recommended health tests on their breeding dogs, responsible breeders can take steps to decrease the likelihood of producing puppies with heritable conditions, but as with any living thing, nothing can be guaranteed.
We take enforcement of our standards incredibly seriously and have a process in place in which we conduct an independent investigation of all complaints. After reviewing all documentation provided, and assisting you in enforcing the agreed upon contract to come towards the appropriate resolution, it was determined that the breeder is in compliance with our Community Standards & abiding by the terms agreed to in their contract at this time.
We hope this answers any remaining questions you may have.

No Dog at Good Dog - 2 Different Breeders 2 refunds ..Platform definitely not performing necessary research of their Suppliers (Breeders)
I was excited when I found this website “Good Dog” thinking I found a safe environment where I can purchase my poodle puppies with confidence of breeders, here I thought had to pass some stringent standards. Not true at all - I submitted my required deposits to two Breeders - Atone Poodles & Earthwind Farms one giving my $1,000.00 deposit reserving two female poodles from each breeder & the other their required deposit, paying the difference, at delivery. Out of selecting 4 female poodle puppies (2 females from each breeder), trying to move forward after the first debacle, I received my refunds back. The first refund came back from Good Dog was with the breeder (Atone) and per Good Dog they separated due to a disagreement— heart broken, yes I didn’t come to the website for refunds - wanted my puppies after waiting for their released dates but when I persevered and once again after waiting for a period and getting close to my puppies release date it happen again notification of refund and when I texted in the platform where I normally converse with Earthwind I need an explanation of the refund – I need Good Dog to respond & then I sent an email - I got a call from Good Dog Customer Service and she gave me the same canned answer “We parted due to a disagreements statements and my reply was I have purchased from two different breeders submitting their required deposit and the best you can give me is the reason why I can get my puppies is you and Breeder disagreed and I’m the customer takes the impact! Then Good Dog customer service representative, she stated to me that I should choose more expensive poodle puppies instead of $800 ones, my reply “if the price of the puppies less than a certain threshold an indication of a breeder scam, then why are they offered on Good Dog Platform, sounds like y’all didn’t do a thorough research/review on your breeders then she replied at least you got your fund’s return as I told her but I came to Good Dog to purchase puppies- long story short this was not the platform to do so… I’m the happy owner of two poodle puppies as of 10/10/23 and according to our vet visit today they’re healthy and cute girls. So, it turned out to be a bumpy and unsatisfied journey with Good Dog!! Good Luck to future dog/puppies’ searchers perhaps your road will be smoother than mine was with this Platform or welcome to my horrible journey which I share when other future pet owners ask where did I find my new pet members - my reply NOT “GOOD DOG,” as I take them on my journey with them.
Faye, PhD
I remember after the first debacle saying to the customer service representative let’s try this again and then when I made the 2nd deposit with Earthwind Farms, I notified customer service telling them okay I found two more female poodles and placed required deposits - if they had concerns about this breeder one would think to clean up any issues then but no you waited until it was almost time for my puppies to come to their forever home for you & Breeder to have a “disagreement.” The more I think about these situations and what she said Good Dog rep – the Platform needs complete overhaul with computer programs enhancements with alerts but first perform due diligence set of standards of all Breeders and those that don’t measure up exit to the “right.” Proper training of staff, before there’s no need for staff or platform – never forget competitions is everywhere and customer’s voices can make or break a business.

This company is out to make a profit…
This company is out to make a profit for themselves. The are a computer bot system that flags any and all conversations dealing with money. They charge a high fee to buyers and force clients to pay through their site even if your dogs sell through other platform. They continually shut my page down due to their “community standards” which are questionable in my opinion. They do not support breeders and small businesses. I have multiple customers who are upset with the integrity of this company. When you call or email you get computer generated responses. They claim to be such an ethical company, but I don’t agree. They harass breeders for non stop information to keep your page running and dogs posted even when you generate them thousands of dollars and bring in hundreds of happy clients. They make it very difficult to run a Business through this site. It’s a shame because there are wonderful dog lovers looking for puppies from verified breeders and we are so limited by constant interrogation by Gooddog bots.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for reaching out. We’re glad that a member of our team was able to connect with you and share more information about our On-Platform Payment Policy (https://www.gooddog.com/good-breeder-center/on-platform-policy). As they shared with you, in order to protect our community and company, we require that all deposits and dog payments for Good Dog buyers are completed securely on Good Dog. When Good Dog buyers connect with a Good Breeder, they agree to abide by our Policy, which means all Good Dog buyers understand that all deposit and final puppy payments should be completed on Good Dog.
Requesting or attempting to receive payments outside of Good Dog is against our On Platform Payment Policy, and repeated violations after receiving an initial warning from our team, may lead to a temporary account suspension. During this time, breeders will still have access to their Good Breeder dashboard including the ability to message with buyers and use payments via Good Dog. After the suspension has ended, breeders will again be able to receive new inquiries.
We hope you can understand that in order for us to continue to provide free resources for our breeders, and continue our mission, policies such as our On Platform Payment Policy must be upheld consistently.
If you have any questions about using payments through Good Dog, please let us know.

The company does not support breeders
The company does not support breeders, especially breeders who are trying to focus on bettering the breed standard. If you have an issue with a puppy buyer, they will take the buyer’s side over the breeder regardless of the situation. I’ve had issues with two different buyers lying and reporting their experience to Good Dog, but because I work two jobs and don’t feel like being harassed by Good Dog “compliance team” while I have an outside life and obligations, my account was removed. The buyer had told the company that I didn’t give him records of the dog, and it’s because he wanted to register the dog under full registration instead of limited, which was what he was given. So in result of this, no more Good Dog because I chose the dog’s future over the owner lying about their intentions with the puppy.
This is not worth your time in using. Now I understand why so many breeders told me not to use this platform.
