Good DogReviews of gooddog.com

I felt confident that this business is helping weed out people that may be trying to take advantage of others. I liked that there were several breeders with breeder info so I could narrow down my choice and know that the breeders met guidelines to be part of this business.

GoodDog is a good great platform for breeders to reach out to potential new owners. It is easy to add new litters and offers lots of resources to breeders. GoodDog platform could be improved in several ways 1) Add the ability to add video for the litters. Videos allow better media to connect with potential new owners. 2) Better knowledge of breed standards. As a Lhasa breeder, I saw a huge error in their platform regarding acceptable colors according to the breed standard. 3) More responsive when questions arise. I had a confusing application in which an owner was trying to apply for puppies for multiple breeds. GoodDog needs to allow more options to allow breeders to reject applications.

Good Dog has been helpful in spreading the news about my litters and finding just the right family for available pups. The breeder advice and trainings just give my program added stability and growth, which ensures my pups get the best care, families have added peace of mind, and I am gaining knowledge or confirming best practices.

We really enjoyed seeing the dogs being offered locally and beyond. Upon falling in love with a puppy photo, we reached out to the breeder. It was mildly off-putting that the photos listed weren't the actual dogs available. We proceeded and picked a new friend that we love. The next hiccup was a co-breeder was involved, though not listed. This made communications tough to navigate for a first time buyer. We weren't sure if the setup was legit. As the process moved forward, they weren't clear through the buying/pickup/shots process who was on first. It was tough to setup a clear pickup time, and even more challenging to get the registration and shots records a couple of weeks after we'd picked up our little pup.

I have received 3 emails from Samantha with pictures of the puppies. I made a deposit that was accepted. I have been waiting for instructions of when we can drive down to see the puppies. We live 1 hour away, but I haven’t got a reply to my emails. We are excited about the prospect of welcoming Nellie into our lives. As of now we are just waiting on instructions.

Wonderful educational support for new breeders and started with good intentions but the breeder screening process and levels seem to have declined for numbers versus quality.

Only reason I gave 4 stars is I believe that Good Dog can do a little better on screening Breeders. I have to say 90 percent on Good Dog are legitimate breeders who have alot of experience in their breed.

Such a great source of information. I appreciate the support they have given me and my buyers and look forward to a long, happy relationship!
