Wayne, I am so sorry you were not happy with the trophy you ordered from us. With respect to the material it is a metal trophy with silver plating, not resin. On the sizing, though we do list the height of the trophy on the product page I can see how it may not be very clear that the given height includes the base. We will be making changes in the product description to reflect that information more clearly. As far as the cup being loose on the base that is something that should have been caught in production and fixed before shipping out. I apologize that it was not and will review that procedure with production so it does not happen again. We will work on getting you a new felt bottom. Thank You Elizabeth Account Manager
