Absolutely diabolical
Honestly - warning to sellers!!! I sold a PSA graded 10 card worth £2.5-3k+ and it sold for $900. No marketing or promotion and my emails and calls went unanswered throughout. Never to use again.

Ridiculous “buyers premium”, we all know you already get a ridiculous cut from the seller as well. Just double dipping on both ends, rather greedy IMO. Then I promptly pay just to wait while they take their time shipping. It’s been two weeks since my payment…still not shipped. Absolutely ridiculous, nothing they offer is worth your time and money. Go through someone else, I’ll certainly never do business with them again. Might still watch the show on Netflix’s but that’s about it.

I bought 3 items. The usual buyers premium was 20 but upped to 22%. Then if I payed by credit card OR WIRE they tacked on an additional 3%. When I payed by ACH debit the 3% went away and I was left paying additional 11.1% TAX even though the combined tax of my town and state (Illinois) is only 8.5%. Still waiting for a response from these crooks!

My first experience with this company. I won an auction with a bid of $180, but the final price ended up being $253.64. Let me break down how all the extra fees add up: Winning Price: $180 Commission: $39.60 (22% on top of the winning price) Insurance: $1.98 (1.1%) Shipping: $6.00 (3.3%) Taxes: $19.13 (10.6%) Payment Processing Fee: $6.93 (2.7%) That’s an extra $73.64 in fees, bringing the total to $253.64, which is 40.91% more than my winning bid. While the commission, is understandable, it should be built in - this business model is designed to make the consumer pay for everything. Now, consider this: if you win an item, and the fair market value is exactly what you bid and won, say $1,000, and you pay a %22 markup commission plus 18% in other fees, you’ve essentially lost 41%% on your money and investment. Why? Because now you have to wait for the item's value to go up 42% or find a buyer willing to pay a 42% markup just for you to make back 1% on your investment. It's a losing proposition. Know this, the payment processing fee of $6.93 (2.7%), is their business cost and they are passing it on to (YOU) the consumer, allowing them to avoid paying for credit card processing. Essentially, they make the customer pay for their own credit card fees! If you bought an item for $10,000, you'd end up paying around $410 just for the processing fee alone—something the company should absorb, but instead, they pass it on to you. This business model is the definition of making the consumer cover all costs. If you plan to bid and win, be aware that you’ll likely pay approximately 40.91% more than your winning bid.

I am a Canadian that wasn't too sure about Goldin Auctions. I didn't Know if this Company would be Good Or Not. I got a Hold of Steve at Goldin to sell My Collection of Old 1980 Hockey Opee-Chee Cards. First thing I Had to Sign a Contact which Was Easy & Sent Back to Them. In the Contract I Did Not Have To Pay Goldin any Type of Fee For Selling My Cards. Which is Excellent. E-Bay Rips People off By Making People Pay a Fee. Then To Get Paid I Was Confused about The Paperwork involved Concerning Payment. I sent in a Lot of Questions to there Support Dept & Within 24 Hours John From The Support Team Answers all My Questions & Explained in details What too Fill in to There on Line Forms. It Made it Very Easy For Myself To Fill in all The Forms Needed To Get Paid From Goldin Auctions. I Feel I Got Top Dollar For My Mario Lemieux Rookie Card that Was Grd From PSA a 9. Again I Did Not Have To Pay any Type of Handling Fee OR Charge For Selling my Card. E-Bay is Not The Place To Go.. Goldin Auctions is The Place to Sell Your Hockey Opee-Chee Cards. If any Canadian Is Not Sure If Goldin Auctions is The Company to Use. Use Goldin Auctions I Recommend it to ALL Canadians To Sell Any Type of Sports Cards or Any Type of Trading Cards. Goldin Auctions is a Top Notch Auction Site that Answers All Your Questions Quickly. There Team at this Company are All So Very Helpful & Curtious if a Person Has Any Questions on Anything at All. UK seller here. I traditionally use ebay and UK based auction houses but thought I'd give Goldin a try meeting them at a Card show in London. Their representatives were a pleasure to chat to, 6 cards were consigned to them. My cards featured in their pop culture auction in March/April. All cards sold and the funds from the auction was sitting in my goldin account, no worries. I was away at the time and once I returned home at the beginning of June from a sabbatical leave. I contacted goldin regarding the payout which is circa of $2600. For over 2 months I have been back and forth with their customer service team provided my payout details numerous times and still have not been paid. Even when they've said you'll see the money in your account in 10 working days..I've had this message now 5 times with no payments made. So at some point in the near future I will have to take this matter further. As an international seller I've never been more disappointed with an auction platform than I am with Goldin and will certainly not be recommending them to any of my contacts here in the UK.

Extremely Disappointed with Goldin Auctions' Unprofessionalism and Lack of Communication I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the services provided by Goldin Auctions. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal with others considering doing business with them. In December 2023, I submitted an item for auction with Goldin Auctions, hoping to secure a fair and timely sale. The item went to auction in January and concluded in February, with the final bid exceeding $3,000. Naturally, I expected to receive my payment shortly after the auction's end, as per their stated payment terms. However, to my dismay, the buyer backed out, leaving me in a precarious position. Despite having waited until May for payment, Goldin Auctions failed to fulfill their commitment. When I requested the return of my item, they callously cited their contract, refusing to honor my request. Adding insult to injury, they assured me that the item would be included in the upcoming auction the following month, but this never came to fruition. Fast forward to mid-June, and I find myself in a state of utter frustration and despair. Goldin Auctions has left me in the dark, ignoring my numerous phone calls and voice messages. It is evident that they have no regard for their customers' financial needs or personal circumstances. What makes this situation even more distressing is the fact that I had plans to utilize the funds from the sale towards my upcoming wedding in October. Goldin Auctions' blatant disregard for my situation and their failure to uphold their end of the agreement has put me in an incredibly difficult position. The lack of professionalism and communication exhibited by Goldin Auctions is simply unacceptable. As a customer, I expected transparency, timely payments, and responsive customer service. Unfortunately, Goldin Auctions has fallen far short of these basic expectations. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Goldin Auctions to think twice. Their unprofessionalism and disregard for their customers' needs are evident in my unfortunate experience. I hope that by sharing my story, others can be spared from the frustration and disappointment that I have endured. Please be aware of the risks involved in dealing with Goldin Auctions, and consider seeking alternative auction houses that value their customers and uphold their commitments.
