Golden Corral in Springfield Mass is a really underwhelming experience. The broccoli, and most other vegetables all tasted washed out, as bland as the town water supply, lacking flavor, any kind of bite, and poorly prepared. The mashed potatoes tasted like biting into a ball of cotton. The steak was the only thing that tasted fairly o.k., but it was still rubbery. All the deserts had too much overwhelming artificial flavor. And way too overpriced for the experience.

This was my second time visiting Golden…
This was my second time visiting Golden Corral, Columbia Mo. The second time around was no better. The renovations are nicely done. Upon arrival, they asked us to wait to be seated which was no problem. The problem was after we paid, there was no place for us to stand. The people behind us had to squeeze in front of us to pay for their meal. We tried to move on the other side of the rope and the guy had us move back to the crowded space. There were 6 people in our group and they sat us at a small table with no room to eat. Our waitress introduced herself and we didn’t see her again until a manager happened to walk by and we stopped her. The manager went to find our waitress so that we can be moved to another table. Once again our waitress disappeared for quite awhile. She finally came back and we had to ask for refills as she was walking off. Once again she disappeared for quite some time but finally brought our refills. She was a nice lady but she kept disappearing from the dining area. We still tipped her well but her service could have been better. The food could have been better. The chicken and fish could have cooked a minute or two longer. We couldn’t eat it. The salad bar was the only thing I could enjoy along with the rolls and mashed potatoes. The roast was very dry and a little tough. I feel they were rushing because of the lunch rush. I would rather wait for food to make sure it’s completely done. Please stop crowding people at tables to make room during a rush. People will wait to be seated in order to get good food.

It's on the website that they're opened…
It's on the website that they're opened up till 9:00 on Thanksgiving. We had family coming in late so we got there about 6:00 that night. Wouldn't you know it people are still in it but the doors have all closed signs on them. Why did they close up at 6:00 p.m. instead of 9:00 p.m. when the website says that's the time that they're open till. I guess this means that they really don't want people's business here. I'll just go ahead and put them in the column with Westernsizzlin. And put a forget now sign on it

my recent experience at Golden Corral
my recent experience at your Golden Corral restaurant located at [8215 Broadway Merrillville, IN] on November 15th, 2024, at approximately 7:16 PM CST was horrid! We were celebrating my grandmother's 80th birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was far from celebratory.
Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately struck by an unpleasant odor. This, coupled with a multitude of visibly greasy dishes provided, created an unappetizing atmosphere from the onset. Unfortunately, the food quality did nothing to alleviate these initial concerns. The dishes were cold, unappetizing, mushy; the turkey gravy seemed to have suds in it. "The deserts were brick hard," said my 12-year-old. "The apple pie was sickening," said my 18-year-old.
When I brought these issues to the attention of the apparent manager on duty, I was met with a series of excuses as to why a refund could not be issued. After a considerable wait of 15 minutes, I was finally granted a refund for only one meal, despite the fact that I was dining with my two daughters (ages 18 and 12) who were equally subjected to the subpar conditions and food.
I requested to speak with someone of higher authority but was informed that the General Manager was unavailable and would not return for over an hour. I called the following day, November 16th, and spoke with Ruby, the General Manager. Initially, she seemed receptive to my complaint and agreed to a refund minus the drinks. However, she soon retracted this offer, calling me back stating that she would not grant the full refund.
This experience was wholly unacceptable. The unsanitary conditions, poor food quality, and dismissive customer service are not representative of the standards I expect from a reputable establishment. I request a full refund for all three meals as compensation for this deeply disappointing experience.
I have been a patron of Golden Corral in the past, but this incident has severely damaged my perception of your brand. I sincerely hope that you will take appropriate action to address these issues and prevent similar occurrences in the future.

With many Golden Corrals permanently…
With many Golden Corrals permanently closing, it seems that this long delay in reopening may just preparing diners for this one to fold also.
Seems a very long time to be "temporily closed".

It's my go to for comfort food!
It's my go to for comfort food whenever I'm in Albuquerque. The bbq baby back ribs are delicious, as is the home style meatloaf. Pulled pork... I mean it's all good. I also like ordering a bunch of different items and picking up my order for a night at home with friends & good food that isn't very expensive at all. You could easily spend the same amount or more at a Arby's & not have enough to eat, but here, you have plenty plus left overs Bonus: I ! have to cook or wash dishes after!!
