Mine was fine for the first few weeks, then the keypad developed a mind of its own, with strings of the same letter racing across the page. Like others, I was asked for a video..Before I could do that, Something even far more sinsister, when I switched it on, it started trying to type in my ipad password on rapid repeat, like it was trying to hack into it. It didnt stop til I pulled the ipad out. Never used again. Avoid avoid avoid!,!!

Unlike a reputable company, returns are a nightmare. The product doesn't work well, it's impossible to remove the iPad from the case, there are inadequate angles for viewing, the backlighting is dim and unreliable, and the unit slides around on the work surface, and then they require it to be sent back to China. The meager instructions provided in English have to be decoded because the syntax is abysmal. There was no indication that it was being sent from China until after I got the tracking info. I have to pay for the shipping TO me and again BACK to them. No company would be able to operate this way in the US.

I am having the same problem, most people are having, when they receive a nonfunctional iPad case and keyboard from Gold and Cherry. You have to jump through hoops to get them to respond in a timely way, then they want a video of you trying to use to prove to them it does not work. I have been trying to get them to send me a shipping label, so I can send it back and replace for a functional one. They give me the run around. The battery does not hold a charge and the keypad does not work. At first three buttons did not work,then the whole keyboard won’t respond. Basically they send you a faulty product, then don’t want to replace it or give your money back. I will not recommend them to any of my fellow colleagues and suggest people read more reviews before buying from them.

I loved this product for the 6 weeks it worked. When it failed I ran through all the troubleshooting on their website then contacted support explaining the problem and the fixes I had tried. They requested videos, which I provided, and then after a weeks of chasing they said they had now sent this on to their 'technical team' (who was looking at it before?!). Anyway, no response from the technicians. I chased once every 2 or 3 weeks and each time got a polite email saying they would get back to me. Now, 6 MONTHS later, I have finally received a response... they say I can choose to send them the keyboard at my own expense, but to take note that battery failure, key failure and hinge failure is not covered.... , and that if the keyboard is fixable I will need to pay to have it returned to me. Needless to say I won't be spending more time or effort on this product. It's a great concept but the quality and service is terrible. Update… TWO YEARS after my review I have finally received another response saying I should contact their customer service. Also, they say that if I don’t update my review they may take it down. So here’s the update… I still would not recommend this product.

I purchased a keyboard with trackpad for my iPad Pro several months ago. When the keyboard functions, it works ok. However, this does not happen very often. The keyboard seems to have a mind of its own and keeps exiting the document I am working on at the time. It also requires reconnection to the iPad almost every time I open the cover to use it. I have to "forget the keyboard", restart my iPad and reconnect the keyboard pretty much every time I use it. I complained about this to Gold and Cherry and they responded to me with an email containing a copy of the manual. This of course was not at all helpful. I left a review on Facebook, but it appears that negative reviews do not remain on the page too long. Given the cost, and the fact the keyboard is made in China and the chance of a refund or replacement is non existent, it would be in your best interest to purchase the Apple magic keyboard, or the Brydge keyboard as they have better reviews and have better service. Update: G&C replied to my review 25 months after it was posted. This should give you a very accurate depiction of their level of customer service.

I have ordered an iPad keyboard from the UK. I have had no acknowledgement of the order neither an indicative delivery date. I have now emailed them three times and had no reply. I’m getting nervous... having read all these dreadful reviews... I’m getting worried. I think I’ll contact the Better Business people at the US Embassy in London to see what they know.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY. Faulty products that they are refusing to refund me. Don’t lose out on your money.

I have been dealing with them since April. The first iPad case I ordered was the wrong size even though I used their specs for ordering. Reordered the correct sizes. One was very generic and my husband didn’t like it. The other was way to heavy. At the time that I made the first contact, they did not have a US return address. I could not afford to pay $100 tp ship to China. They contacted me in June with the US return address and only costed me $20. They received all three items on June 25th and was signed for by C Gopay. I finally received a response to my emails on July 13 and was told I would be receiving a refund and someone else would reach out to me. I have received no response since then. All my emails have gone unanswered. I am not out over $400. I have missed the time frame to dispute with my credit card. I do not recommend them to anyone.
