Placed an order with GNC but it never came. Said that they couldn't resend the order but would credit my account within 2-5 business days. Two weeks later I called GNC customer service number and they said that the credit id number for the refund I was given was a request only and that decisions were based on a case by case basis and that I should now go to DHL for a claim. This was six weeks after the initial order. When I put in the DHL tracking number I received it says it has no record of this shipment. Looks to me like the order never left GNC so DHL is going to give a refund?

Shipping time is terrible
Shipping time is terrible. For $1 more I should have ordered from Amazon and got in 2 days not 2 weeks.

delivery never came
delivery never came. they gave a tracking # but dhl said they never recieved. they re-shipped, so 9 days later "where is the product?" They finally tell me that the reship was cancelled because out of stock. I have to call and find out? you would think if I got an email confirmation of the reship order its tied in with their inventory and is in stock?

Shame on you
Shame on you, GNC.com
This review specifically relates to the GNC.com website. This was my first and last time ordering on GNC.com.
The experience was gobbsmackingly frustrating. I ordered Isopure 7.5 lb pound protein powder. The process of ordering was fairly seamless. I added the product to the cart, checked out, and received a confirmation. Easy peasy...right? Not so much.
Here's where the fun begins. Twelve hours after placing the online order, I received an email that stated (paraphrasing) that the ordered was cancelled...no reason, no explanation, no nothing. So, I called GNC Customer Service. I was advised by CSA that the order was out of stock, and that there was no comparable product. And to make matters even more rich, GNC sent through a payment authorization to my card which will sit there for three to five business days before it is released. Therefore, I essentially paid for a product that I was guaranteed not to receive. Hmmm...
As I explained to the CSA, it is a lousy business practice to not have a "real time" inventory control system. And it is even worse to tie up a customer's funds with a bogus preemptive authorization. Just do what Amazon does. Query the customer account to make sure it is an active account, and then prior to shipping, bill the customer.
I am really annoyed. I could have used that money, that GNC tied up, for an immediate purchase for another bill that I could have paid. Really, really bad business practice. I filed a complaint with their Consumer Affairs Department, and received a voicemail from a CSA Supervisor, not a Consumer Affairs representative explaining the same policy. I guess the customer is not worthy of a simple higher level, or escalated return call from someone who care. They are not getting the point. The point is to reevaluate their programs/policies to balance the customer experience versus the business requirements.
I guess none of it matters. I will not be ordering from GNC.com ever again. I don't need my money tied up with nothing to show for it.
Think twice before you use GNC.com

Wasted money
They charged us for a gold card then turned around and got rid of the card and now want money for a premium service thing. No refunds on the gold card.

Terrible
Received a gift card for 50 dollars from a friend at xmas. I misplaced the card or lost it in all the wrapping paper. Not sure. I got lucky cause the friend that got me the card still had the receipt. I went to GNC with the receipt and they told me that it still wasn't good enough and that I was just out of luck. Wow. I work out a lot and get most of my products from GNC. I think GNC just lost a good customer.
