I bought a new 2021 Sierra GMC 2500 diesel. After about 3 years the drivers head light assembly gave out. I thought it was a bulb and thought i would buy a $60 bulb. aah no, try $2200 to get the part and replace it. Now the other side gave out. So another $2500. You read that right, thats Just short of $5000 for headlights in 5 years. $1000 per year for headlights.... seems excessive?? I tried customer help lines and no help.

3 days after my new vehicle warranty ended which was March 30, 2026 I noticed my front grill was pealing. I brought my car to the dealership where I bought it and they looked at it and told me warranty is done. I opened a claim with GMC and after 3 weeks they called me to tell me they cannot do anything. I am not the first one that has brought this up. It’s a known issue. They offered me a compensation free oil change lol slap in my face. This is the last time I purchase a GMC vehicle.

I bought a 2026 GMC Denali on January 2026. I had a minor front end accident early January. My car has been at crash champions since early February !!!!! Crash champions has NOT been able to get a “rail” part to finish repairs. I was told by my insurance company GMC is noted as not getting repair parts. If I would have been aware this was the situation I would have NEVER have purchased a GMC. I would have saved money on rental cars and stress.

I bought a 2024 GMC Canyon and the first few months loved it so much. Then I had issues with the the boss speakers and within a year the water started to leak from the roof . Took it to the delalship and they was giving me hard time to give me a lonar car . Then they finally gave me a lonar car and said the roof drain was clogged after six months the same issue happened and this time they said they could not duplicate the issue. Also the screen got blacked out after the water leak and the delarship could not duplicate the issue. Contacted customer service GMC with the issue and I asked for a replacement vehicle and they said its past an year since I bought the vehicle and they cant give me a new vehicle or refund my money . So after I got my GMC I traded for a Japanese suv which I love so much driving. If you want comfort and reliability dont buy Gmc products . You be having a bad experience and a nightmare. Stay away from that brand. My rating for GMC is zero. My truck has less than 12000 miles and I had the extended warranty which is waste of money . For oil changes I had to drive to the dealership which is an hour away . GMC is the worst with their products and worst with customer service. They just want to play the people and rob money .

Whatever you do DO NOT BUY A GMC UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. They come with faulty safety sensors which could kill someone. They allow managers of their dealerships to lie and rip off clients. They allow men like Kevin David to treat women poorly and threaten them if they leave an honest review. So steer clear of this company and all their dealerships

Bought a used 2017 GMC Sierra with only 102,000kms. Less than two years later and only 23,000kms, catastrophic failure. Requires a new engine. Absolute trash.

GMC Canada doesn’t care about business ethics and standards. They allow each dealership to make up dealer fees without any oversight. In other words, each dealership can establish their own practices without any accountability. Just be aware..

I leased a 2025 GMC Hummer in November of 2024. In early January I had to take vehicle to dealer with a battery issue. While the vehicle was in for repairs it was stolen from the GMC dealership. The vehicle was recovered however there was $22,000 worth of damage done to the vehicle. The dealer's insurance did cover the repairs however did not cover the contents inside the vehicle. Due to not having parts for repair the vehicle was at the dealership for more than 6 months. I called customer service numerous times to discuss options for them to take the vehicle back and I would purchase a new vehicle. I had only had the vehicle for less than 90 days and due to it being stolen while in their possession I thought it would be fair for them to take it back. I was not asking for anything free nor was I asking for anything that I did not think was fair. Customer service continuously gave me the run around and said the case was under review and they would call me back. They would never call. I would have to call them to repeatedly get the same answer. The case is still pending. After I received the vehicle back, they said the case is closed I have the vehicle now. I have only purchased GMC vehicles for my family, and I based on other family working for GMC. I however would not recommend, nor will I purchase another GMC based on this experience.
