Unbelievable, I took a risk ordering glasses online and it turned out to be a true blessing. Global Eyeglasses saved me from having to sacrifice hundreds of dollars I didn't have to spare on replacement eyeglasses and saved me from having to try and rig together my broken glasses with some tape and hope that the tape was secure. I like to keep two pairs of glasses because I'm someone who has to wear them all the time if I want to be able to see clearly, and I'm someone whose glasses like to slip off my face and fall to the floor, and I just now realized that they also like to suddenly, with no pressure applied, snap in half. I wonder if the snapping in half is a purposeful poor quality set-up to ensure you comeback for repair or replacement, because this makes twice for designer brands that came from the same optical store, Hmm?. No way was I going to pay another $300 for one pair of glasses that might snap in half for a third time. You think you can trust the popular name optical stores, but it seems not. So I figure better luck with an online store, at least if there's a loss it won't be in the hundreds. So I did my internet search and picked Global Eyeglasses because it was top rated and had great comments on Facebook. I was inspired by one of the comments that was satisfied with their 3 pairs delivered, if they can get 3 in good condition it's worth a try I thought. I ordered 2 and they are perfection. Awesome lens clarity and awesome frame design. I know the frames are awesome because I'm constantly having to thank someone for complimenting my glasses. This goes to show there's cheaper and better options than popular name stores with designer label frames. For under $80 I got 2 pairs of attention grabbing, fashionable frames at a way better, I mean way better "buy one get one half off" sale then I've ever gotten at any optical store, and HELLO at how global eyeglasses doesn't use lenses as a reason to raise the price extremely high. My favorite pair, that gets so many compliments, was $20 with FREE lenses. I tell EVERYONE who compliments me the story and it's shocking, even to me that's why I keep telling everyone the full story. GEEZ at the difference between an optical store and global eyeglasses prices. I kind of feel violated when I compare the optical store prices. I was lucky to find this super affordable eyeglass store. Now I just have to use self-control and not go crazy buying various frames like they're jeans or shoes.

i ordered Rx sunglasses & will order an additional pair. they came fast. they look great - better than the other site(s) i used before. i will shop here again for any glasses i need, readers etc. i give em' 10 outta 10

Even though one pair got lost and was untrackable with USPS, Global Eyewear managed to find them and get them to me. So far I have ordered 5 pairs of glasses from them over the last couple of years and they have provided nothing below excellence and they do take their time to question your prescription if they see something on it isn't right or they just have a question. I would recommend them highly to anyone needed eye glasses. Their cost, quality and customer service simply cannot be beat and this is my personal experience.

I would rate 4.5 stars if I could, since I usually reserve 5 stars for an experience without any complaints, and I have one very small complaint. I was very impressed with the innovative way they measure your pupil distances, by having you take a picture of yourself, that shows your pupils, while holding a card with a magnetic strip below your eyes a a size reference. Based on that picture with the card's magnetic strip (which is a known standard size), they can determine measurements they need for prescription lenses. I would like to have seen additional photos of the product on the website, before and during the order process. There were the usual product photos, from angles that make the product look good, but often hides details that may raise questions, or in my case, that may answer questions. I ordered prescription sports sunglasses, but what I received was a regular, nice pair of sports sunglasses, with a small set of frameless prescription lenses that connects to the interior of the nose bridge or piece that rests on the nose. The prescription lenses and the sun shield portion of the sunglasses can separate easily, which makes for a lot of surfaces that need to be kept clean. If these were used for sports, it would be difficult to keep the surfaces clean from sweat, smudges, and debris. To clean well, you must remove the prescription lenses (bare lenses connected by a small but sturdy piece of clear plastic over the nose) from the sun shield, and then you have to clean the inside and outside of the prescription lenses followed by cleaning the inside and outside surfaces of the sun shield. Doing this while standing or sitting without a place to rest one piece while cleaning the other can be difficult to do without smudging the surfaces you just cleaned with fresh fingerprints, or dropping the piece you just cleaned, while trying to clean the other piece. Separating the sun shield from the prescription lenses does have its benefits, but I would like to have known the pieces were separate when browsing or ordering the sunglasses. Separating the two does allow you to change the sun shield with various tints, like amber, clear, or darker/lighter tints. It would also be nice to be able to order additional sun shields and additional prescription lenses separately. I would like to have understood the dual-lense configuration when ordering, since I could have added a darker tint to the prescription lenses, which would have suited my situation nicely (probably uncommon). I was in a car accident that left me with a strong sensitivity to sunlight or even brighter interior lighting. I would love a pair of wraparound sunglasses that can accept prescription lenses inserts, and which allows a variety of darker tinted lenses. I would like a lighter tint when watching TV at night, and the darkest tent possible (while still seeing) for when I need to venture outside, and perhaps even a medium tint for use inside during the day. I would also like to have a good pair of very dark wraparound sunglasses with the prescription lenses integrated into the sun shield. Since I wear sunglasses ALL the time, it would be nice to have this pair for use as my primary pair of glasses, but with only one set of lenses to keep clean. Right now, I use these glasses with the prescription lenses inserts, which I find more challenging to clean and to keep clean. Now, if I could find someone who could make a nice pair of prescription Active Shutter 3D glasses for my 3D LED/LCD TV. If these mythical glasses were rechargeable, then I would pay as much as $200 for a single pair. Actually, I would pay that even if they weren't rechargeable. I am stuck in bed from a car accident, and nothing takes my mind off the pain as well as a good, immersive 3D movie. All in all, my experience was excellent, and I would definitely recommend GlobalEyeglasses to friends and family.

I love the range of variety. I have 4 or 5 pairs from here to keep life interesting :) Love that they will tint any lens! And you can't go wrong with their return policy. Why pay $300 for one pair when you can get 2 or 3 quality pairs for that. Thanks Global Eyeglasses!
