extremely frustrating experiences
Two BOTSLAB dashcams, two extremely frustrating experiences I have now owned two BOTSLAB dashcams, the G300H Plus and G980H Pro, and unfortunately both experiences were extremely frustrating. The G300H Plus had problems recognizing the microSD card and repeatedly failed during device binding. After hours of troubleshooting, I returned it to Amazon. More troubling was BOTSLAB’s customer service. Their designated After-Sales Service Manager explicitly promised me in writing a full refund without requiring a return. I accepted and asked how the refund would be processed. My repeated questions about that promised refund were then ignored. Ultimately, Amazon refunded me, not BOTSLAB. Based on my experience, I was given a written promise that was simply not honoured. The G980H Pro brought another ordeal. BOTSLAB gave me contradictory instructions about the orientation of the microSD card, and the documentation was inadequate. The card had to be pushed so deeply into the slot that I eventually found a German BOTSLAB owner on YouTube demonstrating that a small tool was needed to push it far enough to click into place. Even registering the advertised extended warranty required additional correspondence with customer service. Two cameras, hours of troubleshooting, inadequate documentation, contradictory instructions, and a written refund promise that was never honoured. After these two experiences, I have lost confidence not only in BOTSLAB products but also in the company’s customer service. In my experience, it creates the appearance of customer care without delivering on its promises when it actually matters.
