We had a deeply disappointing experience working with Abby Glen at Giggster while securing a venue in Malibu, California. From the start, she approached our budget and ideas with an elitist and discouraging attitude rather than offering solutions or flexibility. Instead of helping us navigate venue logistics to meet our needs, it became clear that the primary focus was maximizing profits for the property owner, with little regard for our concerns as clients. The situation escalated just days before our scheduled event when Abby called in an aggressive and harassing manner, nearly shouting at us over the phone and threatening to shut down our event. Even after we resolved all financial matters, her communication remained condescending and unprofessional, making the planning process unnecessarily stressful. To be fair, this review is strictly about our experience with Abby Glen. The on-site Giggster representatives on the day of our event were highly professional, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with—ironically, Abby was not present that day. While Giggster as a platform may offer valuable services, our interaction with Abby significantly tainted our overall experience.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Giggster. A renter destroyed my space, causing over $500 in damages, which meant the event cost me more money than I earned (I only made $400). Despite submitting all the required documentation and repeatedly following up with Giggster, their support team was incredibly unhelpful. It took over a month of back-and-forth communication for them to finally tell me they wouldn’t help cover the damages. This lack of support and accountability has left me deeply frustrated and disappointed. If you’re considering using Giggster as a host, beware: their support team does not prioritize or protect hosts when issues arise. I cannot recommend their services to anyone, especially small business owners like myself, who rely on these platforms to make a living.

** Buyer Beware ** Giggster's refund policy is 50% up to 48 and 0% after that. Yes, 50% of your booking fee will be witheld. I'm not sure what others are talking about when they say they were issued refunds by the hosts as that's not how Giggster works. I had to cancel 1 week before a booking and they kept 50%. That's well beyond a "restcking fee" like most businesses, 50% is highway robbery. (they offered a good will 7% coupon for a future booking. There won't ever be a future booking...)

Giggster scams. We were held hostage by a host from Giggster who forced us to pay cleaning fees and repairs for something they broke. We were held hostage in a neighborhood where someone got shot on the same block and were not allowed to leave the venue until we paid the host his extra money. Giggster took the host’s side. Watch out!!

This site is a scam! I went to LA from Boston to do a short movie! Nobody opened the door! I already paid actors, crew! And will go back to Boston tomorrow! Lost money with food, transportation, crew actors! They didn’t help with other place!

Booked through gigster place for 50th BD party. It looks like they don't check if person behind the listing has rights to rent out a properties .Unprofessional customer service. Lost 1250$ because of them. Beware!

Basically a soft scam. They find you venues and take your card details but in our case, the venue knew nothing about the arrangement or any booking and said the price was way off. Avoid Giggster company

Worked with this company. The location they presented on their website was dirty and did not look like the pictures. To top it off they also overcharged us without any permission and completely ignored our complaints about the location. Giggster is not an honest company. Buyer beware.
