We had a great experience, ie. bilateral interviews. Opportunity to meet & greet. And we got lucky and got the best pet we could imagine..bonded quickly and no bad habits. Did need dental, but we knew that. Otherwise good health and vaccinations up to date. He found his forever home!!!

I had no problem with getting Tink. I just love her! Couldn't have asked for a better dog. Getting in touch with the owner was easy to arrange to meet her and get her.

This is what I waited for, for so long! I lost my best boy Gus 2 years ago. He was a sweet, gentle and very loving Maine coon. I was devasted and knew I'd never find another like him. After a year I began my search for another rescue. I went to shelter after shelter, looked online, with no connections. Until I found GetYourPet. Org.. it was nothing short of a Godsend that I found "Smokey" who we now call Mookie. He has made us SO happy and took the sting out of losing Gus, although, I swear, Gus is still around.. lol.. Thank you for bringing Mookie into our family!

Good service and organization

The “Get Your Pet” process itself is very good. It was great to scroll through and find a loving pet for our home. The follow up process with them was very good. The confidentiality was also very good. The pet we adopted died shortly after joining our home. We took him on knowing that he had medical problems. I asked for no further emails for getting a new pet for awhile because we were not ready. No acknowledgment of this email. I continued to receive emails from them about pets. Without an acknowledgment, I believed that they did not receive my email, so I sent it again. They replied back this time that did not seem kind during our grieving process. Not what I needed at that point. 😞

Get Your Pet is an outstanding concept and an excellent process. I was able to meet my new pet and her current owner. After adopting I was able to keep in contact with the previous owner for any questions and concerns that I may had. My pet was a family pet where the owner was no longer able to keep her. The owner was so happy that she did not have to give up her beloved pet to a shelter and was very comforted meeting the new owner and knowing that her dog was going to a good loving home. I believe I could not have found a better dog anywhere. I love my new girl!

Smooth process, so kind to allow a companion animal to stay with their current home while finding a new one. No shelter trauma. Former owner in my case has even been able to visit- a good experience for all💕

I can't recommend Get Your Pet highly enough. Speaking from the perspective of someone searching for a pet,I was so comforted by the idea of reading about and learning about potential fits for our family, and why the family was searching for a new home. I tell everyone looking for a pet to search Get Your Pet. I can't imagine the agony of leaving a pet with a shelter or rescue group when there is this option to move from one family to another. We just adore our dog Higgins; he has brought so much joy into our lives. His previous owners were very loving, but their life circumstances didn't fit with Higgins' needs, while ours did.
