They have canceled on us many times and refuse to refund the charge. Very unprofessional. They only give a $20 credit. We spend $35 on the cleaning day to put our dog into daycare. When they show up, the cleaning is very inconsistent. One crew did a great job and the rest were mediocre. Do not use them!

Absolutely terrible experience with Spruce Cleaning. I paid for what was supposed to be a thorough, professional cleaning, and it honestly looked like nothing had been done. Floors were still dirty, counters weren’t wiped down, carpets untouched—definitely not cleaned or disinfected. The only noticeable thing was that the beds were made, which is not why I hired a cleaning service. Even more frustrating was the response from the company. Instead of taking accountability, they gave vague explanations that didn’t match the actual condition of my home. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially considering how much we paid. I would not recommend Spruce to anyone looking for a reliable or high-quality cleaning service. Save your money and look elsewhere. TERRIBLE COMPANY.

This is not a legitimate company. I was scammed, and I want to spread the word before anyone else gets scammed. I paid 259 for a move out clean. The lady came an hour late, and left after 3 hours. When I walked into my empty apartment, it smelled like soured rags, and she barely wiped anything down. When I opened my refrigerator, they had broken the cover for the butter shelf. I contacted Spruce to complain and upload the pictures. They were extremely disengaged with the conversation. I told them that they have cost me 259 dollars for the fake cleaning plus 1,764 dollars for the deposit. I asked if they could send that lady back out to finish cleaning. I was told no, she refused. I was finally was told that they would see what they can do to help me with that cover and refund me 70 dollars. I got an email today saying that they did an investigation and couldn't prove it was them who broke the cover and they were not refunding me the 70 dollars promised. Now, I'm going to have to take them to court for the 259 fake cleaning fee and the 1,764 deposit they cost me.

I signed up for Spruce Cleaning Services because they market themselves as a convenient, luxury service. My experience has been anything but. To add insult to injury, I’ve been a long time customer and have used them a dozen times. Unfortunately, I have had significant inconvenience and frustrations caused by them the past four visits. After multiple service issues, repeated rescheduling, and having to rearrange my schedule each time, I’m left feeling like my time simply doesn’t matter. Communication has been inconsistent, and when problems arise, the responsibility somehow shifts back to the customer. When you pay for a cleaning service, you’re paying for reliability and professionalism. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

Today we got cancelled (on a service that was scheduled months in advance)… for the 3rd time. This company regularly cancels our scheduled services, without any notice. They simply don’t show up, and when you reach out to them they apologize and reschedule for days (or weeks) later. Their cleaners do a fair job, but the company is too unreliable.

I was really hoping to make this work long term but after first time they cleaned my place, I found living room and bathroom corners inappropriately cleaned. They shoved all the dirty dishes into my laundry without rinsing and created more mess than they were before. Customer service didn’t even flinch to make it up for it and offered a 10$ discount for next cleaning session. I’ll pass.

Horrible customer service and absolutely unprofessional. I had a cleaning service scheduled but no one showed up, they just took the money and not even respond properly to the customer service chat. I have had cleaners for 10+ years but this is the first time i have dealt with such an unprofessional company. Wil never recommend them to anyone or go back to their services

They do not stand by what they offer. I booked a cleaning move out service and they didn't even sweep or vacuum the floor. After a few emails back and forth I gave up because I realized they will do nothing to assist you with your issue. They sub out the work to people who do not care to work correct. Would highly NOT recommend.
