I'm extremely disappointed with their service. I booked them because of my apartment offer. I never read the reviews which I'm doing now. 1. I was very clear in their access instructions on to register their car and park where it says register2park because their car can get towed, and she didn't do it, and just parked where she wanted. I don't know why they ask for instructions and don't follow. since she didn't know English, it was hard for me to tell her what to do. 2. When she has cleaned my bathroom and sink, immediately there was nothing and the toilet started showing brown stains, and I asked her, she put a tablet inside it, and those stains have become more that even with me scrubbing and trying to take it out, it doesn't go, I don't know what she used in my sink. They used to look clean, and after the cleaning, it's even more dirty with the stains not going. Haven't experienced such a thing. 3. I did contact them, they said we will give you a $30 refund and a $15 on your next cleaning. I'm not using them again, because I'm scared, they may stain other parts of my house, other counter's she didn't really touch and just put everything in one area.

You are an awful company. I would never subscribe to anything related to your site. Rather than helping stray and feral cat, you suggest ignoring them!! No food no warm comfort, even if you did offer it to them before. You need to find a new business where you never deal with humans! I will send negative messages anytime I can.

The cleaner came, then left to get her equipment, and never came back. I sent Spruce a message asking what had happened, and twenty minutes later, I'm stil waiting for answers. Spruce's lack of a working phone number means that when something like this happens, there's absolutely no accountability, and no one to contact. I have booked a different cleaning service.

Absolutely terrible. Walked in hit in the face with Pine Sol smell but they did NOTHING. I am so mad I don’t know where to begin. Just awful.

Do not waste your money. They charge the customer $20 immediately for changes within 2 business days of service. I have no issue with that. On the day of my service, they asked if I could change the time window for my service. They offered a $15 credit to apply towards the future only after I reminded them of their policy. I expect to be credited $20 immediately for the last minute change just as I would be charged had I initiated it.

If I could give you no stars i would! We hired them through the apartment complex but their company is ridiculous! we hired them to clean our apartment for a move out cleaning and because of the oven and the toilet, you won’t clean it? What the hell do you for $250 dollars?!

I too wish I read the reviews before booking with Spruce. I booked the 9:00 - 1:00 window and they were late so we rescheduled. On the reschedule they were late for that too and that got me looking at the reviews and specifically all of the bad reviews. I was experiencing everything the people who posted the reviews experienced. I decided to cancel my appointment all together and am waiting on a refund. It looks like they charged me a $35 cancellation fee. Let’s see if I get the refund. I’m looking for another cleaner and will do my research. I too selected Spruce because the recommendation came from my apartment complex.

The cleaners did a thorough job. I am pleased with the actual cleaning. However they won’t tell you when they are done. We waited 4 hours. Apparently the person you can text has no way to contact the actual people cleaning your place. I wrote the cleaners a note explicitly telling them to text me, with my phone number and still no one texted. There is some horrible communication problems in this business. This is the second time that I was unable to text the poor people trying to find my place. They couldn’t text me and walked to the wrong office for an hour in the heat. I even put my phone number in the delivery directions but obviously this was not relayed to the cleaning professional. When I tried texting Spruce I didn’t receive an answer until an hour later from some middleman who obviously didn’t relay my message. This is the second time this has happened. This is negligent and leaves your people out in the heat. Spruce, you absolutely need to tell your employees the number of the client for direct communication and vice versa. Even Uber and DoorDash and delivery drivers know how to contact the clients to text them for directions. I won’t be using the service again for this reason as I wouldn’t want the next poor cleaner to be left wondering where to go in the heat with no way to text anyone. The communication extends to the chat (or lack of) feature on the web which closes at 5 pm and then switches to text (or lack of). Whoever is on the other end uses one- word responses or pre typed messages. They didn’t tell me the first time they cancelled on me. I waited all day twice in a row with no communication from them. I was the one that had to contact them to ask if they were coming. They charge your credit card BEFORE they do the service which means you’re prisoner to their schedule if they are a no-show. Communication is the key to a smooth business. What I don’t understand is why the cleaners did not directly text me when I left them a tip and my phone number.
