I paid for a premium cleaning and was left with only a maybe half cleaned apartment. The staff (one person) was only in my apartment for an hour and 20 minutes. My countertops were not wiped down properly, the floors and carpets still had stuff all over them, most of my items were not dusted, the fans and baseboards were not touched, the sinks in both the bathroom and kitchen were still dirty, and the shower fixtures still had soap scum. I sent in multiple pictures of all of the things that were not done as asked and I asked if someone could come out and re-do the service or if I could have a full refund and was told that they had already given me a $25 credit for my next service. Don’t waste your money on this company. They are unwilling to make things actually right.

Was offered this service through my apartment. Ordered the premium cleaning with a special focus on the floors since we'd just moved in. I could not effectively communicate with my cleaner due to a language barrier. I have smudges on my mirrors, particles on countertops, dirty floors and sinks. All I was offered was a $25 credit. Why would I pay again for the service I should have received the first time? I requested account closure. They can keep their credit.

Unfortunately I cannot actually rate how any Spruce team members clean because the service didn't happen. I live in an apartment complex with a call box and their team member could not get it to work. I get a text requesting instructions again on the call box, which I repeat the instructions. The next text I get is saying that they moved on to the next client and they are not coming to clean. They could reschedule of course or I could cancel. It was very frustrating to have cleaning help fall through when I was counting it. I knew I didn't have time to reschedule, I had to clean which stressed me out. For a company says they can help with the stress of cleaning, in my opinion they just added stress. I decided to cancel because I wasn't sure when I could reschedule a good time. There was an obvious communication issue; however, I don't feel that they really tried to resolve the issue before moving to the next client. I feel this was very poor service. Insult to injury is that they charged me the cancellation fee and didn't not give me a full refund. I feel that this wasn't my fault and I shouldn't have been charged the cancellation fee.

As we couldn’t circle back later in the day, we worked on rescheduling your service and offered that option. However, based on your cancellation request via SMS, we proceeded with the cancellation. A $35 late cancellation fee was applied because the request was made last-minute and the Service Professional had already reserved their schedule. I had a very concerning experience with Spruce. Not only did they fail to clean my apartment as scheduled, but when I called their help line, they asked for my keys and even my Social Security number—something that seems completely inappropriate for a cleaning service. Even more concerning, their help line promoted a senior citizen discount that required providing a Social Security number, which feels like a major safety risk. I worry that some people may be more inclined to trust this and unknowingly share sensitive information.

My apartment was not cleaned properly for a move out clean. Light switch plates were dirty, walls were not attempted to be wiped, base boards were supposed to be (scrubbed as the employee marked) and the dust was not even wiped off, vents were not wiped, and the storage under the stove was not even wiped out. All items were marked as completed by the employee cleaning this unit. This is unacceptable on any level. I will be asking for a refund from Spruce.

DO NOT USE SPRUCE! I paid for the signature cleaning I have a one room efficiency so paying attention to detail should’ve been easy. I specifically requested to pay attention to the floors mopping them. Not only did they not mop they didn’t even sweep in some areas. My cabinets still have food on them. The fridge was only mildly cleaned off but areas left untouched. The furniture was not wiped and the bathroom counters had unclean areas. I had to come in cleaning what was not done. Feeling like I could’ve did this myself and wasted money. I complained and all they said they could with their probably AI response is they would give me a $25 credit on my next cleaning, as if I want to ever use them again. Oh don’t be fooled by the AI pictures they send you when done they are not what your place looks like up close. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY OR AT YOUR OWN RISK.
