I had a bad experience with the owner of the boat he did not have a good customer service. Additionally, there were not water in the washroom and the room downstairs had the cleaning items around. I don’t have complaints about the captain. The most upsetting thing is that when I was going to rate the service for any reason it was set up to get him a 5 stars which it was not true . We booked this boat for a group of 11 people for a six-hour trip from 11 AM–5 PM. This was not some casual last-minute plan — coordinating ELEVEN people for an entire day takes time, money, planning, transportation, food, drinks, schedules, and preparation. Then, 40 MINUTES before our scheduled departure, Frank cancelled our booking. Our departure location was approximately 30 minutes away, meaning he essentially waited until the exact point when a group of 11 people would already need to be leaving for the marina to tell us that the trip was not happening. Forty minutes. For eleven people. On the morning of the reservation. There is almost no realistic way to find and book another boat capable of accommodating a group that size with 40 minutes of notice, so the cancellation effectively destroyed the entire day we had planned. What makes this even worse is that this listing presents Frank as a “Superowner” and “Best of 2026.” I cannot understand how cancelling a confirmed reservation for 11 guests less than an hour before departure is remotely consistent with those labels.

This company is extremely unprofessional and takes no accountability. My friends booked a trip and the contractor picked up people who threw their personal belongings in the Chicago river because the guy was arguing with someone else. Their purse and shoes are completely damaged. Worth thousands of dollars. They have to get a lawyer involved because the company don't care. Book at your own risk. Their valuables are messed up completely. Unacceptable all around.

Do not use Getmyboat specifically the owner Marina. I booked and paid a Duffy boat weeks in advance and she cancelled my reservation 3 hours prior to launching. Left me high and dry. Texted me the cancellation and then refused to answer phone or text. I called the captain who informed me that Marina has frequently been fraudulent with customers and is not honest about bookings. Do not use this company. Terrible customer service.

I found a boat, paid in full. They then disable my account. I had to verify my identity. I did. They then canceled my reservation and told me the refund would take 10 days. I called to see why it was canceled. They wouldn’t tell me. I don’t have a boat or my money.
