They just were very hard pills. And they were stuck in my throat and no matter how much water I drink. The pills are just a no go for me. I just can't stand that stuck in one spot feeling. And it took seem like a whole day to get them down. No matter how much I drank or ate to get them to go down.

Contrave is doing exactly what it has promised to do. I really don’t feel hungry and when I do, I eat half portions of what I would normally eat because I get full faster. I have had minimal side effects. Just dry mouth and slight constipation. Every other day as opposed to everyday. My only negative comment is when you’re constipated, it’s hard to get an accurate weigh in at times. Other than that, I will continue to take it until my goals are met!

I've been on contrave now for 3 weeks now and have not seen any weight loss. The only symptoms I have had is nausea.

I have been taking Contrave for two weeks and plan to stay on them long term. Here's why; I have lost about 6 pounds and I know from dieting all my life that you always lose about that much in water weight at first. But what I am the most impressed with is how it really helps to control my appetite. I have never had anything that did that before, at least that was legal. I have been literally crying out to God for something like this for years. Because I am a foodie and in the food industry and thinking about food, creating recipes and cooking and talking about food, it has dominated my life and makes it very difficult for me to lose weight. I am surrounded day and night with food in every way. I am so happy that I finally found something like this. My appetite is now under control and I don't crave food any longer and my thinking about food all the time has stopped or at least it's something I control. Even more exciting is that my perspective on my future has completely changed! I know it's only been two weeks, but I have hope again for an exciting future where my clothes fit properly and I'm not embarrassed and ashamed to be in public. The side effects I experienced are constipation ( I now drink a lot of water everyday and I am going to take a softener) and some nausea and occasionally a mild headache. Totally worth it to me, but I am speaking to my doctor about it as soon as I see him next. I may not be being paid by them, but I am spreading the news about Contrave. I would encourage anyone that is in a desperate situation like I am at 120 pounds overweight and almost 60 years old and starting to have health problems because of obesity to at least try it.
