German with LauraReviews of germanwithlaura.com

My only experience with German has been a few months of Duolingo, but I began to quickly get confused with the cases and genders which Duolingo provides NO support for. I then tried to branch out to textbooks, but was only met with the same "Just remember this" with no rhyme or reason! Laura's course acknowledges the issues that German learners run into, and gives logical patterns and ways to remember grammar points that just make sense! The exercises along each video are super helpful and are a great way to drill how patterns work, so you can stop being confused at the cases and genders and conjugations. Her charts are handy, minimal with no fuss, and are MUCH better than the traditional excessive German textbook charts. This was well worth the purchase, as it is much cheaper than an actual German beginner college class which would confuse you with the textbook style teaching. If you are starting out with German grammar, I highly recommend this!

Laura explains German grammar in a very clear and structured way. She has put a lot of effort into developing tools that help you absorb the main concepts. I do have questions every now and again but each lesson also has a discussion forum and so far my question has already been asked and, again, very clearly and simply explained. Added bonus: Laura responds very quickly to your questions. This was definitely money well spent.

This is the best German course I've ever taken! Logical, practical and systematic, I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love Lauras way of teaching, I decided to begin learning German with her first German Foundations course which i absolutely loved and ended up also purchasing her Vocab builder beta course as well as her German Foundations 2 course. I have always struggled to stay focused and listen for long periods of time, however Lauras teaching methods and her personality make it so easy for me to keep my attention. Thank you so much Laura! I couldnt recommend her enough!

Thank you Laura, I have not regret any second that I spent with you. I was thinking that it could be challenging to learn German from English. But you explain everything super basic and the way powerful. Actually I am thinking that you give me additional knowledge on English gramer while you are teaching German. I definitely recommend to take your courses for every one from 0 level to German teachers. Knowing something not mean that you can teach it properly. You inspired me a lot, and I will be using most of those technics to learn other topics as well.

The German Foundations class has been most helpful as I have been taking Duolingo but they don't really explain anything and German grammar is very complicated. Laura make it very understandable with easy to follow lessons. I would highly recommend her as a teacher.

Laura explains complex material in a gradual, systematic and detailed manner. Each step is accompanied by practice that allows you to internalize what was learned at your own pace. *** Besides enjoying the course, I draw a lot of inspiration from Laura's way of teaching. *** By the way, I am a teacher myself, with more than 25 years of experience, qualified to teach Hebrew and English, and interested in learning languages. Although I've only studied a third of the course so far, I state that Laura is definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had!

Laura has produced an excellent course on learning German Foundations, that is grammar. The daunting topics of gender, declension and conjugations etc. are very well covered in a very clear way. Having completed the course I feel much more knowledgeable and confident in these matters. In fact I have developed an instinct for what is right, which Laura said I would. The tables to make selection of gender and plurals are so clever and helpful. Well done Laura. I fully recommend this course. It is also fun to do!
