This Company is a complete Scam and a Waste of time. Their Government Program offers Unlimited Talk and Text but Data is 5Gigs after that you’re screwed. Why would I choose this company when virtually every other provide offers Unlimited Everything? They have the worst Phones hands down, with the Summit being their most recent… My issue though comes in the fact that I was signed up for the EBB/ACP Service by an “Enrollment Agent” In had to Pay $40 for a tablet (Only works on WiFi, Despite it having a SIM Slot) and an Additional $10 for the “Smartphone”…. Here comes 2 Weeks later My phone was cut off, Tablet Locked, Completely cut off from my Family and Friends. When I reached out to Customer Care they stated that I had requested new service (HINT: I did not) and gave me a number to call which was just a Voicemail. TAKE IT FROM THIS 63 YEAR OLD, STAY FAR AWAY FEOM THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PREDITORY ENROLLMENT AGENTS.

I really want to give it zero stars the worst phone service and phone ever had it for ten minutes total waste of time and money don't do it

This company is fraudulent they have these so employees sales taking your money then the service only work for 6hrs. Once I called in they were suppose to send two Sim cards I never received took my money wouldn't refund it saying I would have to get it back from the sales person no luck with that. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY !!!!

I bought a phone through Genmobile several years ago. This past summer, with no notice to me they cancelled my account. When I tried to renew it recently they opened a new account for the same phone and sent a new SIM, which would not work (invalid sim). We found that though Genmobile provided the phone when I opened my account, the phone was locked for use with a Sprint sim only. I called Sprint as Genmobile directed, and was told they could not verify ownership of the phone and therefore could not unlock it. So, the phone is basically a brick. After several hours of talking to both Gen and Sprint, Genmobile refused to take any responsibility for the error or assist in any meaningful way, as the tech's "supervisor" would not even take the time to discuss the issue with me. They could never explain why they sold ne a locked phone which was restricted to a specific carrier that they no longer contracted with for service. I cancelled the account and went elsewhere. When I had the account and it worked the service was spotty, with a lot of dead zones in rural areas.

I ordered a phone and phone plan through this company's website on October 19, 2022. It cost me $129 and I still haven't received my phone to use my new plan. I contacted the company 3 times and each time was told something different. First, I was told to call UPS and check with them (even though I was given a USPS tracking number). Next, I was asked for personal info to include my credit card number in order to start a refund (info they obviously already had since I placed an order online). Finally, I was told the package never shipped and I should go for the refund. I asked if they could just send me the phone since I didn't want a refund, and haven't heard anything back for 2 months. Everything about this comes off as a scam. I will be calling my credit card company to file a report to see if I can get my money back. Stay away from this company!

On August 2nd, 2022 I encountered a few guys in my local Walmart that offered phone services through Gen Mobile. They offered free phones as well as feature improved phone for an additional fee. I upgraded the phone option and paid the fee to have enhanced quality. After I got home and decided to activate and transfer my current phone number to the new phone service, I contacted the customer service for assistance. The representative attempted to assist me, but when she sent the command to port the number the phone was immediately disconnected and has not begun working again. I have contacted customer service upwards of 30 times since, to no avail. No one has been able to rectify this matter. I have been told several times that the matter has been escalated and sent to the tech department, the supervisor ect. and not once have I received a call back. I would really like have the situation corrected, but I am also willing to just get a refund for the purchase if a solution cannot be met.

Extremely poor service. My mobile data stopped working and they told me I'm over the limit despite my phone showing 1 had used 113MB out of a 1GB plan. Took me a while to figure out that the person in the chat didn't have a clue as to how many MBs are in 1 GB. I called then their customer service number and I'm still on hold. Genmobile used to be great. It is awful now! I'd stay away from them. They are the new freedompop kids on the block.
