My 10 year old gas water heater started leaking water on top. This was due to no type of sealant used at the factory on the inlet, outlet, and rod threads. I have been a plumber for 30 years and never seen such a poor assembly job. Just a little Teflon tape with some liquid sealant and there would have no leaks for 20-25 years. Whom ever is charge of quality control should be fired. I will never recommend any GE appliance's to any of my customers and friends.

I contacted GE service in July 2020 on my 7 year old Monogram Refrigerator. They sent a inexperienced Technician who said the refrigerator was leaking coolant. I told him that we had the same issue in NOVEMBER 2019 and it was a small part that was needed. I was informed that they would not be able to fix this problem before October 7,2020. In other words, My leaking refrigerator will continue to leak on my “hand-scraped Redwood floors “ the damage requires replacement as well as my inability to use the refrigerator from July to October. The day of service GE called and started they would not be able to fix the problem before December. I called them on November 17,2020 and was told they were not available to make my repair before December 3, 2020 I spoke to an individual who claimed to be a Manager. She was abrupt and exhibited a “we don’t care about your issue “ attitude. GE is immune to any consumer oversight and our consumer rights don’t matter to them. I have purchased a new Refrigerator and Freezer from Wolf/SubZero. NEVER Buy from GE!!!

This review is for GE Parts Department. Their customer service department is deplorable. If I could give GE a -0 rating I would. We ordered a part for our dishwasher on 10/02/2020 and was told delivery would be 3 to 5 days. Next email showed the part was at Fed Ex in Arlington, Tn. on 10/03/2020 and each day I check tracking it shows it's still at the Fed Ex location in Tn. On 10/08/2020 I called GE to see of they could find out for me why the pkg is still at the same location for 6 days and I was told by the GE rep that she didn't work for Fed EX. I asked for her boss and she transferred me to the lead customer service person that promised me he would call back which he never did. I called back this morning and he gave me a tracing number and I would have to call Fed EX. I asked him why couldn't GE send out another part to me instead of me having to wait for Fed EX since it has been over a week waiting on the part. He said he could but i would have to pay for it again. I've tried 3 times to call Fed Ex with the tracing number and I keep getting a message the number is invalid.

Aweful customer service. I bought a brand new stove . Unfortunately it had those sensitemp things on which messes up everything u cook on. The guy from whom I bought said talk to GE as it's sold now and he has nothing to do with it. So I talked to GE. They sent a technician to my home. He said this stove is not a good fit for our cultural food. So today I got a call from relation manger who keep on saying that he can't do any thing about it. As they don't work for customer satisfaction.... They thugged me n I put my money in a garbage product. So lesson learned....do not buy from GE that is GARBAGE ELECTRONICS !

I ordered a monogram cooktop in 2019. While it was still under one year warranty, I discovered that center grate. 8/24/2020 Called customer service - I had to three times - wait for over an hour to hear the pre-recorded message that due to COVID the waiting time was long. Finally when I could speak with the a person, placed the order. The item was received after about 10 days - upon opening found that it was broken in five pieces as if the cast iron grate was made of glass. The packing was so flimsy, it served no purpose. Called again on 9/14/2020 and went to the same process - waited for an hour to talk to a person - explaining my situation - getting another order # . Received the item 2nd time and again upon opening the package found grate broken in 4 pieces. So called on 9/24/2020 - went to the whole rigmarole the 3rd time. There was a nice lady who attended to me - heard my story and said she would expedite the process, will ensure the item was packed and handled with care and sent. I received the item today 9/28/2020 – the package had 'FRAGILE’ sticker on it. Upon opening to my horror, frustration and disappointment - the item was in two pieces. Not sure how to resolve this matter and get an undamaged grate from GE, called again today, I have already spoken with two customer service reps and have been put on hold, and have been listening to the recorded message since. In the meantime writing this review - one star is only because there is nothing less than 1 star. GE please resolve my issue. For proof, I have pictures I can send, the three broken grates with their packaging are at home. I have three order numbers if anyone wants to verify.

The ABSOLUTE WORST! After spending $800 on a brand new GE washer it broke in 2 weeks. It has been OVER A MONTH with me going back and forth with Consumer Relations and I still have a BRAND NEW broken machine in my house and no working washer. They pass the buck and you will be on the phone for hours between hold time and transfers. They do not care in the least. I will never buy anything GE ever again in my life.

the appliances they are making now are terrible. pieces of junk that completely die within a few years. Not lasting 20-25 yrs like they used to. It's intentional, I know. They realized, hey if we're not selling as many b/c they last, we won't be able to pay our CEO and officers billions in salary, bonuses, etc. and they won't be able to live in mansions right on the ocean. Plus, the dividends we have to pay to our stockholder. But screw the consumer! Anyway, GE appliances our terrible. We bought washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, gas cooktop, oven and microwave for our remodel. NEVER AGAIN will I buy a GE appliance. Dishwasher has already been serviced several times and completely died within 2 yrs. We bought the Assurance warranty and dishwasher was out almost 2 wks b/c they forgot to mail the part then finally remembered and overnighted it. No communcation. Assurance blamed it on GE, said they called GE and got zero explanation. Beyond unhappy.

I bought 2 parts from them to repair my stove, the first never arrived, I disputed the charge and they rebilled my credit card. The second did make it but did not work, it was returned almost 3 months ago and they will not respond to questions about the return, I cannot get through on the phone without hours long wait time and 4 emails went unanswered. I disputed the charge an they recharged me again. We contacted the store we bought the stove from and they tried to get help from thier contact. They told us they could not do anything. I now have an open case with the BBB in Kentucky to try and get some response from GE, they have charged me $272.11 twice and will not give me a cent back, or respond to me messages. I would never buy a part from them again and will not be purchasing any GE appliances again. I should have gone with my gut and bought the LG.
