It's great but basic outline of care
It's great but basic outline of care, it would be better if it took time to listen better. And the claims take atleast a month to show on insurance

Traditionally the healthcare system has been one-size-fits-some. Galileo was built to reimagine what modern healthcare should be from the ground up. One of the fastest growing tech-enabled medical practices in the country, Galileo is designed to deliver high-quality, affordable care for everyone. Through an easy-to-use app, patients can receive on-demand, 24/7 virtual care care for most conditions, from the common cold and hair loss, to mental health and diabetes. After downloading the app, patients are able to immediately connect with Galileo’s team of medical experts and get help, fast. Through the app, they can also receive prescriptions, order labs, or when needed, be referred to an in-network specialist. Care is delivered via chat, video, or audio, allowing patients to skip the doctor’s office and receive care, wherever they are. Galileo’s doctors are board-certified clinicians from the country’s leading medical schools, trained to deliver clinically excellent care to everyone. Galileo employs full-time doctors across primary care, specialty care, and mental health; with 30% of its clinical staff being fluent in both English and Spanish. Clinicians work together closely and coordinate their efforts, which allows for increased accuracy and the best clinical outcomes for patients. The Galileo service currently operates 24/7 across all 50 states.

My insurance gave me this app to use for telehealth so I hope I was covered under my fidelis – Medicaid plan After filling out the initial questions it took several hours before I got a response even though it said 20 minutes. it was difficult to understand the Dr and instead of helping me with any prescription she told me I should go to my own doctor. The whole point of doing virtual is because you can’t always get out to the doctor for whatever reason especially on a Sunday evening. I had bronchitis for several days and needed a refill of prednisone which she would not give me. Not sure if I would use this app again .callondoc was much better and much quicker, but my prescriptions were not covered because they don’t take Medicaid.

Our apologies for the disappointing experience, Catrine. 20 minutes was not an accurate estimate of our urgent care wait times on the day of your visit, and we regret we weren't able to offer a more accurate timeline. If you don't feel like your care plan fully addressed your concerns, we're always happy to offer a second opinion from another doctor to communicate what we can safely do for you as a virtual practice, which we did the next day. Rest assured that Fidelis Medicaid plans do cover our care completely and we do have Medicaid-enrolled providers to ensure prescriptions are covered. We're sorry again that we didn't make a better first impression, and we thank you for this feedback!

Talking only through portal is a little rough, be nice if you could call a person too!
Response from Galileo MedicalMar 6, 2026
Hello! You can definitely call a person here at Galileo! Our 24/7 patient support number to talk things through and get immediate support is 888-613-4254. You can also speak with our clinicians over video or phone, so you're not limited to messages in the app. Please give that number a call, we're looking forward to speaking with you!

The doctor was nice and was interested in my symptoms. I thought the diagnosis was short, i.e. more for treating symptoms than actually diagnosing the problem. I self tested neg for vid or flu. I appreciate the prescription for cough but the stuff ended up being contagious and my wife caught it. Like I say, Dr was nice but couldn't diagnose the problem over the internet.
Response from Galileo MedicalFeb 16, 2026
Hello — so sorry we weren’t able to let you know that your cough was contagious, and that your wife got sick as a result. That’s such a disappointing outcome for you both, and there’s no reason any workup we provided on the app couldn’t communicate that information plus a clarifying diagnosis. I encourage you to send a message to [email protected] and ask for Charlotte so that we can find your case and determine what went wrong! I hope you both received treatment for your illness, and we’re here for any further guidance or follow-up care.

Galileo has outstanding communication and customer service. In my personal experience , they have been unable to actually diagnose and treat me. They referred me to other practitioners that require an actual office visit. Very nice, though.

The service promises more than it delivers. Response time is erratic, and generally you have no idea who you are talking to. It's great for basic questions, and very convenient. For complex questions, I think it's better to find a clinical team you can talk to directly.

Lisa, thank you for leaving a review. Our care model is designed to address urgent, acute and complex care needs. I'd love to learn more about what didn't work for you regarding your more complex concern. Mind emailing me at [email protected] to further discuss your concerns? In health, James

While Galileo is convenient for routine items like prescription refills, their response time lately has been horrible. They are quick to text you to request your reply but then take days to response to your response. Unacceptable.
Response from Galileo MedicalOct 16, 2024
Hi Madeline. You’re right - we are not meeting your expectations with regard to response times. We're focused on providing top-notch clinical care efficiently, so it’s disappointing that you’re experiencing delays. We’ve added 30% to our clinical capacity, and expect our response times to be back to normal by the end of the month. You should’ve received a real time notification telling you how long the wait is so you know what to expect. If you cannot wait, please call (888) 613-4254 to speak to a member of our team.
