If you want your money taken time wasted nothing done and someone to just keep apologizing to you go here. All they care about is the money. After they waste months of your time and collect after doing absolutely nothing besides extended responses they’re going to refer you over to someone else they’re going to put medical records in your record that you did not ask for or speak on a lot of the communication is through text, however the provider still happened to have some type of miscommunication and they act like 90% of the conversations are not documented. I would not recommend anyone who truly loves their self or their family not to deal with them.

Just interested in getting the $10 payment without doing the work
The physician Ian Hoffman was ridiculous. He was not listening at all. Bad bedside manner and no compassion or empathy. Give me my refund back $10. Ian did nothing. He could not even call me back. Horrible ridiculous physician. He was extremely rude and interrupted me throughout. Listening and attention to detail skills was poor and awful 😢.

Don't Waste Your Money on Galileo
Galileo Health is the absolute WORST medical organization I have ever had to deal with. It's been nothing but problems. Screwing up my Rx dosage, sending blood tests to the wrong place and delaying my Rx refill for over a week until after my account expired are just a handful of the many issues I've had with them. It sounds great, in theory, but in practice, they are HORRIBLE.

Hey Josh, we're sorry for the confusing follow-up in your case. We were able to write you that prescription -- please let us know if there's anything else we can clear up for you.

One star — Convenient in theory, frustrating in practice
I used Galileo for roughly nine months and ultimately decided to return to my previous brick-and-mortar primary care provider. A few specific issues drove that decision.
**Refills.** My former in-person PCP would write maintenance prescriptions for a full year, so I returned once annually. Galileo generally won't do this. For a patient managing several medications, that means repeated consultations just to keep stable, long-standing prescriptions filled. It turns routine maintenance into a recurring administrative burden.
**Abandoned consultations.** On more than one occasion, a clinician opened a consultation in the middle of the night, asked a question I had already answered on the intake form, and then closed the consult before I woke the next morning—leaving no treatment, no plan, and no direction. The asynchronous model failed completely in these instances.
**Reflexive specialist referrals.** Galileo frequently pushes patients toward specialists, even for maintenance medication refills. I cannot reasonably see (and pay for) a specialist for the rest of my life simply to refill medications that are safe, effective, and well tolerated for me. This defeats the purpose of having a primary care provider at all.
Telehealth can work well, but for ongoing management of chronic conditions and stable medication regimens, my experience with Galileo was inefficient and at times unresponsive. I've gone back to brick and mortar care.

I had an extremely disappointing… Waste of time
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Galileo Medical and would strongly caution anyone considering using them for prescription management or continuity of care.
I originally used Galileo during an emergency situation while I was in the middle of relocating to another state. During that appointment, while discussing unrelated matters with the provider, I mentioned that I had not yet established care with a local doctor and that I would soon need a refill for another medication. I explained that otherwise I would have to drive four hours back to my previous physician just to obtain the prescription.
The provider told me that I could simply make an appointment through Galileo whenever I needed a refill prescription. My daughter already uses the service this way between visits with her regular in-person doctor, so this sounded straightforward and reasonable.
About 45 days before leaving my job and losing my health insurance coverage, I scheduled a Galileo appointment specifically to obtain a refill prescription. At that point, I only had about 30 days of medication remaining and wanted to make sure everything was handled before my insurance ended and before I ran out of medication. I was very clear with Galileo about this during the appointment and throughout the entire process.
The appointment itself was straightforward. The provider requested blood work before finalizing the prescription, and I complied immediately by completing the labs the very next day. Galileo then sent the prescription to my pharmacy — however, they failed to submit the required insurance prior authorization, meaning the pharmacy could not actually dispense the medication.
From that point forward, the experience became incredibly frustrating.
For weeks, I repeatedly contacted Galileo and made multiple trips to the pharmacy trying to resolve the issue. Every time I reached out, I was told someone would “send a note to the provider” or escalate the matter. I repeatedly explained that:
- I was nearing the end of my medication supply
- My insurance coverage was ending soon
- The authorization needed to be completed before my insurance expired
Despite having more than enough time to resolve the issue, Galileo continuously dragged their feet. I was repeatedly assured the issue would be handled, but nothing actually happened.
After more than a month of delays and follow-ups, my insurance finally expired. At that point, Galileo informed me that because I no longer had an active membership, they no longer had to take any action on the unresolved issue — even though the appointment, blood work, prescription request, and failed authorization process all occurred while I was an active paying member.
I was told that if I wanted further assistance, I would need to purchase another subscription.
So after paying for appointments, paying for blood work, spending weeks following up, and complying with every request they made, I never actually received the medication or the service I sought help for in the first place.
What bothered me most was the complete lack of urgency and accountability despite being clearly informed from the beginning that I was on a deadline due to losing insurance coverage and nearing the end of my medication supply. Looking back, I wish I had not been so consumed with moving and starting a new job and had simply established care with a local doctor instead. Unfortunately, each time I connected with Galileo, I believed the matter was finally being resolved, only to continue receiving delays, excuses, and no actual resolution.
Healthcare companies dealing with prescription medications — especially medications requiring insurance authorizations — should understand that delays have real consequences for patients. Instead, I was left feeling like once my insurance and membership expired, my unresolved medical issue simply no longer mattered.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Galileo Medical for anyone who needs reliable prescription management, timely prior authorizations, or consistent follow-through.

Hi Eve, and thank you for sharing this. Not getting the prescription you started care with us for is so frustrating. With only 6 days from the prior authorization request to when your insurance expired, we were not able to get the determination from your insurance in time. We made multiple attempts to contact you to find out your new insurance over the next month because we wanted to make sure you could get your prescription. We are sincerely sorry for finally telling you that we couldn’t process the prior authorization without a new subscription. That was incorrect, and not the level of patient care that we usually exhibit. We’re saddened that our mistake caused you to feel overlooked and misunderstood. We’ve reached out to you in the app to get that PA done and write a new prescription for your medication, free of charge. Please respond there or give us a call at 888-613-4254, so we can find out what else we can do to satisfy your concerns and fix where we went wrong.

I had the misfortune of speaking to someone named Eric there. He doesn’t know what’s going on and he’s incredibly rude. I didn’t know this app was such a rude place. Eric does not know what’s going on. He says he’s in customer service.

Ignored, Overbilled, and left for dead.
Very impersonal, not genuine medical care and over billing. I quit Galileo because the care felt completely disorganized and unreliable. I kept running into the same issues—delayed responses, having to follow up multiple times just to get basic things done, and no real sense of ownership or follow-through from the providers.
The biggest issue was medication management. I was left without my thyroid medication due to delays, which shouldn’t happen for an ongoing condition. That alone made it clear I couldn’t trust them with my care.
It also felt very transactional—like billing and subscriptions were prioritized, but actual patient care and responsiveness weren’t. After multiple chances and the same patterns repeating, I was done. I need a provider that actually manages care responsibly without me having to chase them to do their job.

Maddie, we're so sorry to hear that you had such a disjointed experience. We'd love the opportunity to pull up your chart, investigate where the confusion lay, and make sure that you have the medications you need and that your billing is predictable and clear to you. Please send an email to [email protected] or call 888-613-4254 -- we will take accountability for the lack of reliability you felt.

Never available
They are never available. Doctor on demand and other online apps get you seen within 10 min, usually faster. I can never get an urgent care appointment within even a couple hours and by then it’s too late- i have to go to work. I might as well have gone into a physical urgent care location. The appointment availability for sick visits is also terrible. This is an awful company
Response from Galileo MedicalMay 12, 2026
Hi Brittney, thanks for your feedback. It sounds like we weren't the service you were expecting, and we regret that we couldn't provide sick visits that were more compatible with your work schedule. If there's anything else we can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out in the app and let us know how we could offer more convenient care for you!
