FunimationReviews of funimation.com

coming from AnimeLab (AUS) the UI is so horrble and annoying to use, nothing is clearly organisedz or seems to have an order to it. and i have no idea why they didnt just update the Animelab website to say "Funimation Aus" and kept it the way it was. pretty muched turned me off of watching anything from animelab/funimation. feel pretty bad for anyone else who loved and subbed to animelab, feels like such a waste of money to still be subbed now that these guys have taken over and force us to use their crappy website.

So lets start by saying I liked their Service. That is as long as your account doesn't get hacked. I had their service for years and then my account got hacked. I caught it then changed my password. The next time it happened the hacker changed my email and password on me. That was when I contacted them for help. It took them 4 days to get back to me. I answered all their questions and they eventually found my account with my credit card attached to it. Now let me tell you that i have had this happen on other streaming services and it was resolved within minutes and haven't had this happen again on the other service. But NOT here. They refused to revert my email so that i can reset my account even though i had proof that it was mine and they saw that my credit card was attached and was paying for it still. On top of that they charged me again 2 days later. All they said was "we can cancel your account and you can open a new one". I have hundreds of shows that i watch and have been watching. You try to remember all of them and where you left off. It would have been so easy to fix but instead they lost a customer. I hope none of you ever have to deal with them on this topic. Good luck!

This is such an awful interface. They have some great content, but the trash interface across multiple platforms is so impressively weak. Your shows will be interrupted, have audio or of sync, and lag unbelievably. I've used the app on PS4, my PC, and my phone. It's consistently awful, but often the only legal source for the episodes without buying all shows individually.

such an awful app. Awful website. Awful playstation app. the library of content is great, but getting it to play is so much hassle. I am constantly told that the episode I am trying to watch is only for premium subscribers (sidenote, I am a subscriber) it makes marathonning shows very difficult when between every episode I need to restartmy browser or turn my device off and on over and over until funimation gets its act together. i would give them 0 stars if that were an option. its borderline unusable.

The variety of anime is overall pretty good, but the issue comes with ads. Like I watch more ads then the anime itself. At the bottom when the ads play there is a time and amount of ads which is usually 5. This would be fine if most of the time each ad played wasn’t A MINUTE AND A HALF LONG I mean what the heck! There are three of these totaling to roughly 22 and a half minutes long. This isn’t even counting the 4 ads I have to sit through just to start watching in the first place. I use the free version of Crunchyroll, so it has ads if I think about it each section of ads totals to about 1.5-3 minutes long. It is usually around 2 minutes though, so I spend almost 4 times less of the time on ads in Crunchyroll than Funimation. That’s HUGE! They need to cut down on ads a bit. Even half would be great, just geese. Now don’t get me started on the movies/whole anime seasons you can’t watch because you don’t have premium. A whole season or more. I personally have very little problems when it comes to OVA episodes or extra movies being premium, but whole seasons or movies that contribute to the plot are on a whole other level or anger and stupidity. How can you get anyone to subscribe to your content if they can’t like your site to begin with. Have fun building a fan base Funimation because the only thing your good for is to search up anime and be disappointed wi the ads and blockage. I might as well us Crunchyroll. Frankly I would rather use an illegal webcitw with viruses over Funimation.

I’m a premium member because I hate ads that much. I’ve been watching Funimation on Amazon Firestick for a few months now and for the most part, I’m okay with it, but there are some things I would love for the service to improve upon. 1. To create a section for English dubbed anime. Or at least create something that makes it easier to find. I find it so annoying and time consuming having to go through every video just to find a show has no English audio. Even more annoying, to find after 3-4 episodes the language switches to Japanese. I am not a fan of reading subtitles, especially if the genre is action. 2. I recently found out that not every show will auto play. You might wanna check that out. 3. The app crashes and logs me out, but this doesn’t happen all the time. It’s just when it happens it’s really annoying. 4. Can we please have a skip button! Cos, OOoommmGggg!!! Listening to the same theme song at the begging and the end really does my head in. It’s totally fine if the song is soft and rhythmic, but that rock and roll gives me a migraine. This is why I prefer to watch Netflix. No need to keep forwarding. And that’s it. Hope you guys can figure out a way to solve these issues.

Absolutely the worst anime site I have ever used. Whether I am on the TV App/website/mobile app/or on a console app, it always; and I mean ALWAYS, has a loading problem. Always buffering (I have 1gb fiber internet, definitely funimations fault) and the app layout on every platform makes me wonder if they hire a kindergarten class to design it. I just wish I had enough money to invest in my own anime streaming site because funimation wouldn't even be considered competition. Absolute HOT GARBAGE.

Scammers…they take your account information and don’t update your account. Do not use untrustworthy!!!!!
