As I have always watched Parkers YouTube channel I didn’t get much out of it that I hadn’t already seen and I wasn’t really expecting to. The full-time course is way too expensive for me but I paid for this course simply as a thanks for the entertainment I have had watching his YouTube channel over the years. For someone who is thinking of starting film making there is some great advice.

Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with Full Time Filmmaker. Even starting with free content pulls you in to wanting to spend money to give back to Parker. I really enjoy the content and am excited to learn more.

After watching the thoroughly great 1 free hour crash course, the Starter Course wasn't that much more informative as a "course". However, I've started diving into your YouTube channel and I'm finding that to be great too. EDIT: The awesome people at FTF opened up a mini-course for me and it seems that's where the treasure is .. in the full courses!

Very good course, I learned a lot from it. The only reason it's at 4 instead of 5 stars is more of a personal preference. There is some information I want like lighting and angles but other information like the business side and specific types of cameras that I'm not too interested in personally. But that is a personal thing and for a beginner course instead of a specific course tended to my needs, I think it was extremely helpful and I will probably go back to some of the videos in my future when I need extra help!

I've done other filming courses that rate themselves as the biggest and best filmmaking academies in the world but none of them taught me as much info in 6 months as Parker did in 3 or 4 days of this beginners course, which to me is proof that the full course has to be the best filmmaking school out there. Thank you so much for making small courses like this for those of us who didn't get a chance to purchase the full course yet. It really helps to know that you don't do it only for the money, because otherwise you wouldn't offer such a good course for such a small amount of money.

I purchased the $27 starter course and it was exactly what I was hoping for. If you like Parker's energy, knowledge and expertise, but didn't want to spend $1,000 to watch 600 videos, the starter course is excellent. It goes through the basics and then some. It certainly plants the seed for the full course, but it is not required. As a real estate agent, I wanted to get a better grasp of creating content for my own brand as well as for some social media shoots. The negative of learning about his course, is some of the videographers I used for higher end projects I realized now aren't very good! Even with a starter course, the knowledge I have about overexposure, framing, creating depth and having a story make me feel like no more than some of the experts in my space. At least when I have a meeting with a videographer on a property, I could tell them my ideas and no quickly if there experts, or amateurs with the knowledge I've gained from Parker. Whether you want to get an appetizer of the full course and are considering doing this full time, or like me, you want to have a better framework for small projects, as well as a better knowledge base to make you a more informed consumer when hiring professionals, the starter course is a great place to start. I can only imagine the full course, for someone who wants to be a professional, over delivers as much as the starter course does for someone who wants to dip the toe in the water. Highly recommended.
