Left brake light not working when I picked-up trailer. Dealer not able to fix at the time. Had to drive 90 mins back home and return several days later to pick-up when fixed. Love the trailer otherwise but both Featherlite and dealer should be sure to test and fix prior to delivery.

poor attention to detail
The trailer pulls great but attention to details from the factory is poor. Trailer arrived with no keys took over a month to to have them shipped to me when they arrived keys were wrong took another 3 weeks to get the right KEY only sent me one. Plastic cover over hyd pump for the jack was only Held on by Velcro blew off second trip I made, took another 5 weeks to get a new cover which came with no Velcro or screws to attach it. One of the drop down windows in the horse area doesn’t work properly you have to manually insert it in the slots or horse just pushes it out and sticks it head outside. Another drop down window would not close after it was put down the first time frame was bent I had to repair it to close it. The rubber door handle on the tack door also blew off about the fourth or fifth trip never have got a new one. So far problems have been small but not what I expected when buying a premium trailer hope it’s not an indication of what’s to come

Had better
Price was decent but you get what you pay for. Bought a brand new 45' horse trailer with living quarters. Have about 15k miles on it now. Ramp door to the mid tack was not built square and is in a bind to where now it will not open. One would think a simple adjustment to the hinge would fix it but no... the hinge is welded and needs to be redone at the factory. Another hinge on an interior door broke right off the bat. One of the other exterior doors has sagged to the point where the lock will no longer engage. The trailer itself has a lot of flex and give to it to the point where if I'm parked at an angle the stall dividers will not lock or catch the slam latches. In my experience aluminum structures that give do not last so there it is. I hope this helps all the hard working people out there that need hardy equipment they can count on instead of living in and out of a repair shop

I ordered trailer in December and did …
I ordered trailer in December and did not get it until May after several promised delivery dates missed with poor excuses. The gvw rating was wrong and it took a month to get it corrected. And finally there was a 3" crease in the nose that was overlooked because of the bugs that's were not cleaned off. Have asked for some remedy but have not received a response yet.

I'm very disappointed in my new 4 horse …
I'm very disappointed in my new 4 horse bumper pull. Lots of problems and some very poor planning on this trailer. Normal day to day usage results in damage to trailer. You only find out about it after it happens. Like dented doors if it opens to far, dents happen to the slanted panels if they are opened while the windows is open. Terrible. Plus all the windows were full of water and the stall panels don't stay open, right from the dealer. Now I have to take this brand-new trailer and leave it at the dealer for a week because they are too busy to fix it.

Horse Hazards
This is my first horse trailer buying experience. I went with Featherlite because of its reputation in the industry. Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with this trailer.
First, the positives:
-The trailer look great from the outside. There is no rusting of exterior or interior materials - my biggest concern because I live in the rainy northwest.
-The trailer has plenty of room for my horses. My pony rides in front, and the larger horses ride in the last two stalls.
Next, the negatives:
-My horses have had serious injuries caused by this trailer. In fact, my show mare is lame as I write due to scraping her leg on the nubbies (two "hooks" that latch the door) that protrude up on the rear exit. These nubbies are right in the center of the step out of the trailer and easily caught by horses' legs. I've had four horses get scraped from these nubbies. I consider it a serious engineering defect by Featherlite manufacturing. This horse hazard is placed right in the middle of a horse's path into and out of the trailer. Additionally, my old, mellow gelding came out of the trailer last week with a 4" x 2" skin flap hanging from between his eyes. He cut his head on something inside the trailer. I haven't figured out exactly what he hurt himself.
-The tack door doesn't seat squarely. I've taken it to the dealership for warranty work and they insisted that it's working properly. The handle mechanism is not sound. It feels like a cheap camping trailer door.
-There are not enough hooks for tack inside the tack room.
-The saddle pad rack and saddle rack do not have enough space in between. The two racks are spaced so closely that it makes it difficult to access and store equipment.
-A step into the tack room would be great, as it's a high step when your hands are full with a heavy saddle.
-The safety cable on the hook-up assembly seems like an after thought. It is not engineered well. It's a skinny, rusty cable that has a small, cheap clamp. I've never quite figured out how to hook it up.
-My water tank leaked from the first use. I took it for warranty work. It was not covered. It's still taking up space in my trailer and has never been used, lest I want my trailer floor flooded.
-Two of the window latches didn't work properly. I took them for warranty work. They work now. It seems Featherlite Quality Assurance should have caught simple mechanical defects such as this one.
I would not purchase a Featherlite trailer again. I think Featherlite would be well served to have horse owners help its engineering team redesign this trailer model, or any model for that matter. The number one focus for any trailer design should be safety of the animal it's intended to carry.

Raised floor/street car hauler floor is pointless, and probably more disappointing than anything
I custom ordered a 22 foot enclosed Featherlight Trailer, fully loaded with white aluminum interior walls, insulated, overhead cabinets, air-conditioning, full LED lights, heavy-duty axles, Alcoa eight lug wheels with heavy duty Goodyear tires, everything is great, with the one exception of the disappointing raised floor/street car hauler floor design. I purchased this option as per the salesman's advice, to be able to open a car door over the fender well. And all that being said, I have a fully stock Dodge Challenger hellcat,,, and the doors will not open up over the fender wells. The option includes a lowered Beavertail rear entry, all that being said the fact that the trailer is 6 inches higher, even with the Beavertail rear entry , it's hard to get a car up into the trailer without scraping the front end, so simply put it's an option that I wish I would have not chosen, but it seems like I'm stuck with it now !!!!
