product ok - wouldn’t buy again
Decent product, but I would not buy again. What I like: it works slightly. Many products marketed for acne are hard to see a difference, especially right away. This product does have a noticeable effect a few days after using, but does not seem to improve any more after that. (In my case.) I have mild acne and very mild rosacea. It makes about a 10-20% reduction. I’ve been using it a little over 2 months. What I don’t like: First of all, my skin is a bit sensitive. They do say this is ideal for my skin type, but I had an issue with it messing with my skin barrier. It caused an uncomfortable feeling and many fine wrinkles that I didn’t have before. I backed off using, and it got better. I slowly starting using again and my skin seemed to get used to it. It happened twice. I almost wanted to return it, but when you look at reviews not sponsored by the company it seems that they are very difficult about returning. Apparently you have to use it for a specific amount of days and press return on exactly the right date. I figured I would give it a proper try, and since it’s OK now I won’t try for my money back. I also don’t like that this product is marketed as being Norwegian, and it is in no way Norwegian, except that they get an ingredient from there. I’m in Canada and was avoiding the US tariffs. This is just a US company. I wanted it enough to ignore that and the cost. (It’s VERY expensive, especially when you convert US to Canadian dollars and pay the high shipping.) I will commend their marketing, because it worked on me, but at this point it has made me disappointed. I needed to email them because I accidentally made a typo on my email and it felt very much like talking to an AI robot. They just said the order went through with bunch of flower and sunshine emojis. It took a week of emailing back and for the to actually get my tracking number. The last that I don’t like about the marketing is they that they just go too far. The advertising is across the line for me. Saying that they are closing, that it will cure your acne forever, etc. feels dishonest and it appears that they delete or hide comments/ reviews that are not perfect. I don’t feel trust in their brand. (They also sell the same thing marketed for men, Norse Organics.)

Hey Maddison, thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review. I really appreciate the honest feedback and I'm sorry your experience wasn't what you hoped for. Sensitive skin that reacts to barrier disruption is tough, and it sounds like you gave it a real chance. Your points about pricing and shipping to Canada are totally fair, and your feedback on our communication is something we take seriously. We genuinely want to do better. Thank you for sharing all of this. All the best, Tobias @ Frøya
