I am a regular Freshco customer. Every time I come to the store, there is at least one panhandler sitting near the entrance of the store. He usually sits 2-3 metres from the entrance so the shoppers must pass by him which is really intimidating. It is unacceptable and the store owner should deal with the problem of customer safety! When I was there last time, there were 4 aggressive panhandlers on the porch. I called the Freshco customer service, and the employee told me that it is normal because they are everywhere. But I do not think that it was a satisfactory answer because the aggressive panhandlers intimidate the shoppers going in and outside of the store. Meanwhile, Dollarama on Sargent, across the street, does not allow panhandlers near their store because they care about their customers. At the same time, the situation near the Freshco entrance becomes worse. I hope that the store management and the store owner will pay attention to my review. I can not give more than 2 stars. I admit that the store is nice and clean inside but safety near the entrance is important!
