I filed tax yesterday and i just checked today my account number and it’s totally changed automatically they change your account number to Green Dot bank

Hello Muhammad. We offer several different ways to receive your refund. If you selected to receive your refund as a prepaid debit card, this service is offered through Go2Bank owned by Green Dot. The direct deposit information that is printed on your return will be for the Green Dot card. If you have questions about what was selected in your account, our customer support agents would be happy to help with this. Hey Betty! I understand it can be frustrating if your return isn't Accepted right away. However, it is not unusual for the IRS to take up to 48 hours to pick up a return. If you are concerned about why your return has not yet been Accepted, please reach out to our customer support team. They will be happy to take a look and make sure everything is going okay.

be careful, my sister thinks she got hacked today using their software, it asked for an update to her address and showed MY email address!! WTF?? How the hell could that happen? Those criminal, low-life pond scum hackers are busy this time of year!

worst software. Worst customer support, they don't how to frame good succinct replies. Every year there is some or the other issues with software. It does not have required alerts and due to which I had to amend my returns once again. It is a good business for them as it keeps earning them filing fees. go to hell .. Scam and won’t refund my money. I did my federal taxes based on zero income in 2023, the software then prompted me to pay for state taxes. Knowing I made 0 in 2023 I don’t understand why the system would prompt me to do my state taxes which apparently aren’t necessary if you’ve made ZERO income. Then charge me doing state taxes when my federal had $0 income. At the end of the process the software tells me they can’t e-file federal or state. To top it off customer service has not issued a refund for taking my money to do NOTHING. There was NOTHING to prepare because there was ZERO income. Complete scam. Response to FreeTax USA reply: your website does not properly distinguish that you have multiple websites. I went to the “FREE” site, there was no indication of a “commercial” site. Again you charged me for absolutely NOTHING - your site did no preparation because I had 0 income, the state taxes were supposed to be free, nor did your site e-file anything. You literally provided NO service. As I said before I did not use anything from your site because it was utterly useless. I shouldn’t be held accountable for your softwares “assumptions.” Shady business practices and with scammy software “logic” built off of “assumptions,” deceptive UX patterns built in, and a deceptive name of “Free” Tax USA.

Hi Jessica, I am sorry for your frustration. It sounds like you are using our commercial site. There is a small fee for the preparation of the state return on the commercial site that is the same no matter what income is being reported. We do have a Free File site, but you must create your account on that site through your state to receive a free state return. The Federal return is always free on either site. Although you did not have any income, the software assumes you would like to file a return since you are entering the information. If at any time you determine the return is not needed and you do not wish to file you can stop and no payment will be required. You are never required to pay the fee if you decide not to use the returns we prepared.
