Hi Ron, one of our customer support representatives would be happy to assist you. Please sign in to your account and click the "Support" link to reach out. Our support representatives can help to check that your return has been successfully submitted and can provide you with the website you can visit to check the status of your refund(s). Once your return has been accepted, the IRS and state will process it and issue your refund(s). They do not provide us with status updates regarding any refund. However, if you want to confirm that your return has been successfully filed, an agent would be happy to assist you with this.

Our Pro Support is available to provide tax advice, help with questions and assist with qualified credits and deductions. I am sorry to hear if that was not your experience. I am not sure I understand fully what you were needing for adjustments. At FreeTaxUSA, the preparation and e-filing of your federal return is 100% free. We will not surprise you with an additional fee to prepare and file your federal return like some of our competitors have been known to do. If you wish to file your state return with us, we do charge a fee, but that fee is the lowest in the industry. This fee is the same regardless if the return is mailed or e-filed. We feel that we provide a great self-prepared tax return service at a very low price. There is no obligation to file the state return that is prepared or order any additional item or service. If you choose to pay for any of our optional services with your refund, there is an additional fee for that service. On the other hand, if you pay for any of our services using a credit card, there are no additional fees.

Hi Mary Jane, Thank you for taking time to provide feedback about your filing experience. Our software will prepare the forms and transmit them to the IRS based on the information entered in your account. As long as you click the Save button on each screen, any information that you have entered will be saved. In the 'Final Steps' menu, you'll be given the opportunity to review your returns prior to submission. Additionally, if you are due a refund, the software will guide you to a screen to add/update banking information for direct deposit prior to submitting your return. We have several products and services available that are completely optional in order to meet the needs of our customers, including service upgrades. There is never any obligation to purchase the additional products and services that are available, however, and you may always reach out to our support team free of charge.
