My sensors stopped working. Once within an hour of changing it and the second time 6 days in. I wonder if I had a bad batch because I am also losing signal frequently. I called Abbott 3 times spending about an hour to have them send out new sensors. The one agent I talked to said I should wait in line for whatever it took since this is so instrumental in my safety. I pay out of pocket. My insurance covers Dexcom. Any recommendations….change or stay the course?

At the advice of my endocrinologist I was an early adopter of the Freestyle CGM. I have had too many past and present issues, but initially chucked them up to a new technology. This time I had to delete the app and re-install. No major problem, but I had to start a new sensor and remove the current sensor that still had 3 or 4 days left. 4 weeks ago I had an out of box failure on a new sensor. Abbot did replace it after 10 days. I have also had low glucose alarms in the middle of the night and had to do a finger stick that proved they were false. Lastly I have found the readings to be inaccurate, when checked against a finger stick. The sensors are too expensive to be so unreliable. I will consider switching to another product when I meet with my doctor in 2 weeks.

I agree with so many. My Freestyle 3+ CGMs used to read right on point until May 2026. They were perfect! Now, they are the polar opposite...alarms all throughout the day and night. It alarmed today with a 54 reading. Took a finger stick reading and got 117. Ate a large brownie to test my theory and the CGM DROPPED to 49! These sensors are too expensive for 5 months of inaccuracy.

Decent enough product - BUT the sensors only last 2 weeks. At over £50 per sensor, it’s far too expensive to keep using it

I don't know if they started to vibe code the Libre 3 App but its getting worse and worse. After using FreeStyle Libre 2 and 3 sensors for many years... this is just sad.

I have been using libre FreeStyle for past 6 years. Most recently I started having major issues and it is the same issue where 8-12 hours after activation it just shuts down. They only replaced 2 and those 2 same issue. I am so disappointed with the service and customer satisfaction is so bad. Guessing I am going back to dexcom.

⭐ ONE STAR — Defective Product and Appalling Customer Service I purchased a FreeStyle Libre 3 continuous glucose monitor for my diabetic cat, who had recently been hospitalized with a serious medical condition. The sensor was supposed to last 14 days. It lasted SIX. After paying for this expensive medical device, I spent an entire hour on hold with Abbott's customer service, only to be told that there was no warranty and that the company could not help me. No explanation. No offer of a replacement or refund. Absolutely nothing. When you're relying on a medical device to monitor blood glucose levels and critical care, reliability matters. Customer service matters. Standing behind your product matters. The lack of concern, transparency, and willingness to help was incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this product based on my experience.

The Libre 3 and Libre 3 plus sensors are both very inaccurate with both high and low readings compared to typical blood glucose test strips and meters. Both will report low and critically low glucose when in fact your blood glucose is within the acceptable range and high "out of range" readings when test strips show within range. Their customer service is horrible! The sensors often fail and they haved shipped replacement sensors to an old address that is no longer active and NOT the address you enter on their replacement form. Their customer service will do nothing to fix their mistake, even when they acknowledge it was sent to an address different from the address you requested the replacement sent. Wait times for customer service are often an hour or more. Don't ever trust a high or low glucose alarm, their readings are most often far above or below the actual blood glucose reading you get with traditional test strips. Never base your response for corrections of high or low readings on this device, it is simply unreliable for that purpose.
