Brilliant site for moving on stuff you don't need any more.
Ads go out daily to other members, fairly easy to use, and lets you see the area where the ad is coming from.

A nonprofit and globally local re-gifting and re-use network, each group is moderated by a local volunteer who keeps things flowing along. It's like a cyber curbside, or a family-friendly and scam-free Craigslist for free stuff, keeping good stuff out of landfills to the tune of 32,000 items a day in over 5,000 local groups. Find your local group on Freecycle.org and let the re-use and de-cluttering begin!

I always use this sight to get rid of unwanted items, tying my best to recycle as much as possible as well as helping others and the environment. great for picking up things for free too

I now recycle all my items that I no longer use but someoen else might via Freecycle. I have saved numerous trips to the tip and reduced my carbon footprint. And what's more it is so easy to use.

I have used Freecycle to recycle several things I cannot use any longer ... but they have lots of use in them. I have picked up things for others on freecycle. I love the ease of using this for keeping things circulating and not ending up in the dump. God Bless this web site.

Like most people, I have WAAAAAAAAY too much stuff. As much as possible, I donate it, but some things aren't appropriate for donating yet they're still very useful. The first thing I used Freecycle for was my collection of threads, patterns and canvasses for counted cross stitch (example of "not a donate-able item"). Within 2 hours of posting my ad, everything was picked up and went to a good home! I've since donated electronics, dishes, books, used school/office supplies...all sorts of things. This is a brilliant idea that makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing for our planet, and like the saying goes "one man's trash is another man's treasure." So true!!

I am not sure who came up with the idea of freecycle but whoever it was is brilliant in my humble opinion! I have used it to rehome our old furniture, which was too nice for the skip and the people who needed it came to collect it so I didnt need to hire a van and go to the local dump,a win,win all round! it isnt just for poorer familes, I have met people from all walks of life using this site, people who care about being 'greener' and prefer to rehome things than just to throw things, and being a mum with 3 kids I have rehomed things myself like kids garden toys that they play with one summer then grow out of by the next so you resent spending the money,I have recommended this site to all my friends and family,an easy to use and simply brilliant site!!
