Frame It EasyReviews of frameiteasy.com

$16 to ship the original frame. $36 to ship a “free” replacement mat when their fine print screwed up my order - they do not send the actual size you request. That’s not making it right, it’s ripping me off. Frame itself is nothing special.

The frames aren’t good quality marks all over the wood. The frames themselves are hard to assemble and will cut up your fingers. I asked for a return due to the frames themselves being the wrong size and they wouldn’t let me return them even though they say they have a 45 day return for any reason policy.

ONE STAR. I placed an order on a Sunday and paid extra for next-day air shipping because I needed the frame quickly. On the third business day, I received an email saying my order had been pulled from production. They asked if I wanted to cancel. I responded within an hour of their email saying I did NOT want to cancel and asked them to proceed. Their response: my order would have to start over from scratch with a 4-day production timeline. The three days they had already worked on it apparently no longer counted. The next-day air shipping I had paid for on Sunday was now meaningless. When I asked how this made any sense, given that the order had only been "pulled" for less than an hour before I confirmed I wanted to keep it, no one had an explanation. Just a refund and a polite apology. What I learned about Frame It Easy: 1. They will pull your order from production without enough notification window for working professionals. 2. Their internal systems are rigid enough that an hour-long pause apparently requires a full production restart. 3. They have no flexibility or willingness to make a customer whole when they cause the delay. 4. The next-day shipping you paid for becomes worthless the moment they create a problem on their end. I run a business. I understand operational constraints. What I don't understand is a custom framing company unable to manage a basic reorder window without resetting the entire production clock. I took the refund and ordered from a competitor. The frame arrived faster, and without the drama. Save yourself the headache.

Could not be more disappointed for the price. I was thinking I was paying for high quality materials and craftsmanship but instead got pure trash. Ended up throwing it away. acrylic arrived scratched and filthy. cleaning it was time consuming and massive pain. I ordered a double matted frame and I assumed either the overall size would match so the inside matting would show an even reveal or be connected. Instead they are two completely different size pieces of cardboard so its on me to measure the reveal to get it even then tape or somehow get them to stay in place as to not shift. I honestly spent an hour just trying to clean and get the matting correct before giving up. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Extremely unresponsive customer service. In spite of posted business hours they cannot be reached by phone and are very slow in email response. To add insult to injury, their very belated email response asked me to "share my shopping cart" — which had automatically been emptied by their website. Because it had taken them too long to respond! So they ignored 1) all of the text of the email I sent them and 2) the painstakingly created diagram of what I wanted which I had attached in PDF form... ...and instead, said "Share your shopping cart." I was VERY impressed with my first order from this frame shop (which did not require any human interaction), but I am very UNIMPRESSED with the lack of attentive customer support. I am open to changing my review and rating once this is resolved... ...but only if they respond quickly enough before I take my business elsewhere.

Awful!!! They need to put a warning on their site not to bother unless you are a trained professional with very strong wrist muscles and a warehouse of tools. Nothing easy about it. It is extremely difficult--piece of junk. They don't want me to submit the review. It says to give the exact date and I am doing so and it says "give a date." Read the website! I did that!

They are a total avoid now for me as well. You better make sure THEY understand what YOU WANT, or YOU WILL PAY FOR IT... over and over. So after the matting cut arrived incorrectly, they offered to resend the correct matting for the cost of shipping only. I guess they thought that I was born yesterday. Not only do I know something about this business, but I also ship products. There's no way that the matting cost more than $1, and you could ship something that weighs a couple of ounces safely for far less than over $10. They conducted a master class on how NOT to run customer service and retain loyalty. Their attitude should have been: "Let's make this right," but it became: "Let's make more money." This is the third frame I've purchased from them, and it will be the absolute last. By the way, I discovered a local framer who did it correctly and did it for free. She will of course be receiving some form of payment and gratitude, and my business forever. If your business model is profit over customer satisfaction, like Frame It Easy, then eventually everyone will find out.

I ordered a custom frame that was supposed to be art size 10 1/2" x 11 1/2" and when it came I found that it was 10" x 11 1/2" which is totally incorrect! Their explaining is that I must have overlooked that the frame will over lap 1/4" onto the art. That was never explained in the ordering/measureing process and even if it was what happened to the other 1/4" that was incorrectedly measured by them. Then in the return, I am only to get back what the frame cost - no postage refunded. By the time I paid for the postage to send it back and not getting their paid postage, it cost me $32.17!! WHAT A RIP OFF! DON'T EVER USE THEM!!!
