Well trained customer service

I recently purchased the Organza Givenchy perfume from Fragrance Outlet and was disappointed with my experience. The sample available in-store appeared to be the original (vintage) version of Organza, which led me to believe that was the product I was purchasing. However, after opening the box, I realized the bottle I received was the newer formulation, which has a lighter scent, a different color, and does not last as long as the original. My main concern is that the sample displayed did not accurately represent the product being sold. This created confusion and led to a purchase based on misleading expectations. When I returned the following day to request a refund, it was denied because the box had been opened. Unfortunately, there was no way to verify the product without opening it. While both versions share the same name, the original and newer formulations are noticeably different—particularly in scent composition and longevity. I would strongly recommend that the store update their in-store samples to reflect the exact version currently being sold, so future customers can make informed decisions.
