Despite prior negative experiences, my brother placed an order with Fragflex to honor a rapport with a customer service representative named Ashley. During the checkout process, he applied an 11% discount code that was initially accepted by the system, reducing the order total from approximately $200 to $173. Upon final approval, Fragflex unilaterally revoked the discount, which constitutes a deceptive "bait and switch" practice. Rather than reversing the transaction immediately through PayPal, my brother contacted Ashley to resolve the discrepancy. She incorrectly attributed the error to his misuse of the code, despite the initial system approval. Furthermore, her proposed resolution—a 10% discount funded by depleting his earned loyalty points—was inadequate and remains unfulfilled. Although he explicitly requested that the shipment be held pending resolution, the company proceeded to ship the order regardless. **Update 10/02/26** Fragflex has reached out with an offer that they believe is going above and beyond the sky and moon. Which is available to anyone who can use google search. We had anticipated a resolution following our agreement to accept a store credit of $19.48. We viewed this as a mutually beneficial arrangement that would streamline the purchase of another fragrance while supporting Fragflex’s operational efficiency and profit margin. However, we are disappointed by the ongoing delays and the unconventional nature of their current policies. Most fragrance discounters allow the stacking of influencer-led site-wide discounts with existing rewards, refunds, and earned coupons, as this is standard industry practice. It is concerning that Fragflex continues to deviate from these established norms. We/anyone should be permitted to apply a validated 10% influencer discount, earned rewards, and store credits toward a purchase. Asserting that this is "beyond capability" or constitutes favoritism is unreasonable, as these are earned credits and legitimate promotional codes. Furthermore, there delayed response time prevented us from including this item in our large freight-qualifying order, and we believe it is improper to hold the customer accountable for these operational shortcomings. The initial agreement to accept store credit was intended to resolve the matter promptly and support their business, rather than serve as an indefinite arrangement. Do these policies smell like extortion to anyone? Forcing multiple purchases to use earned coupons, sitewide discounts or refunds?
