Pretty underwhelming. Was with Fountain for a little over a year. Very difficult to get dialed in. Had issues with E2 and hematocrit spiking even on very low doses. Quality of care was incredibly inconsistent, disjointed, and overall lackluster. Never got the sense anyone really cared or was paying attention. Just rotated through NPs who barely know what they are talking about and who more often than not didn't even know what dose I was taking because their notes were so bad. Demanded to speak to some MDs a couple times and they were helpful but overall it was exhausting being the only one advocating for myself. Decided if I had to deal with that nonsense, might as well just go through insurance or a cheaper online provider.

Things started out well, and hormones arrived in a timely manner. I felt dismissed when I reported my hair loss 3 weeks after starting BHRT. I was bounced around with different providers who all had different advice / opinions ( unnerving). You have to advocate for yourself. Hair loss has continued, however they refused to order the needed test to correctly diagnose my cause of hair loss - DHT lab test. ( I already had a complete physical with my PCP to rule out ALL the other causes). Text replies seemed like I was talking to a bot. I now have to see a hair loss specialist due to losing 50% of my hair caused by BHRT. I have received many benefits from the hormones like great sleep, and relief from migraines, which is why I continue. If I had to do it over, I would go to the Menopause Society site and find an MD in my area to get comprehensive care, proper labs etc.

I started hormone replacement therapy with this company, and just three days after starting, had a terrible breakout of acne, which has never been a problem for me. I submitted a text message to the company number that was given to me and I requested to cancel. Now it has been three weeks, and the company has taken another $199 from my account and sent me another bottle of progesterone which again, I requested to cancel.

Good interview but I can get the estrogen and progesterone through my insurance for 146.00 for 6 months supply. I only wanted the testosterone. They wouldn’t prescribe only testosterone. I would have to pay over $1200.00 for all. Who in their right mind would do that? I asked of if I could just buy testosterone since that is what they push on their ad but nope.

The most frustrating thing is that I can't help thinking that the only reason I'm not feeling great 3.5 months in is that they're not paying attention to what they are doing. For example, they recognize brain fog as symptom yet they require their brain fogged clients to remember complicated information. My GP gives me a summary of the visit so I can double check. Not Fountain HRT. I took notes on a post-it and still got it backwards (yes, I'm dyslexic). And that 24/7 support by text? Often it's a text version of an answering machine: They'll get back to you on Monday even if it's information you need to know at the time. They did get back to me fairly quickly when I was in pain and they figured out how to fix the issue quickly so it's not a complete sham but they should be able to answer basic questions over the weekend. I have no idea why they thought texting me in the middle of the night, asking me to rewrite my review, was a good idea. Besides the fact that it's tacky, they never bothered to check my time zone. How basic is that? How basic is sleep? Isn't sleep one of the things that HRT is supposed to restore? Even their top NP can't be bothered to check basic info like when he offered me a long term prescription 3 months in when I hadn't even had my 1st re-test bloodwork to see if the initial guess was correct? (It wasn't - my testosterone needed to be significantly increased. Even though it was initially too low to measure, I have never felt this blah and wasted a month thinking I was severely depressed. They set me up with a lab appointment that's over an hour away (and and another hour+ back) with a $7 toll. I had to argue with them more than once to simply create the order and let me take care of it. I walked into my local lab (10 mins away) the next day. They had a "walk-ins welcome" sign on the door. To circle back, the most important thing they could do to improve their performance is to simply believe in the importance of their own information. Put what they want you know on paper so you can refer to it! They should explain what you should feel and when so you'll know when to text them (🤨) that something is wrong. I wasted a month and half getting very little done b/c their initial script was too low. Also, they should read the info they have on their clients so they don't make stupid mistakes. Note to Josh. No need to text me and ask what you can do to improve my review. This is it.
