I had a great experience and was a client for about 8 months. Their app makes everything pretty convenient to use - you can skip a refill, modify a refill, or reach out to your provider at any time with questions. Providers typically reply within 20 minutes or so. It is more costly than going to a pcp with insurance, but you’re paying for the convenience. I recommend Hers overall.

Older women can lose weight safely. I am in my 3.5 week and have had no negative side effects at all. I'm working out in a more efficient manner and am losing much needed weightloss. I'm also sleeping better. I realize we are all different and respond differently to anything but I have tried other programs available and this is the first one that has felt like the right one for me and I plan on continuing to reach my goal. It's definitely worth a try.

Me: 59 1/2, post-menopausal, 4 years ago, I gained weight while on large doses of prednisone for almost a year. I lost 10 pounds once I got off, but couldn't budge the scale after that. I work out regularly and eat pretty healthfully, as a rule, but that hasn't been enough. HERS has been a game changer. I have only been on it a month, but have lost 6 pounds, which is amazing for my metabolism. I was prescribed Kit 1, but didn't want to be on 3 meds, so I requested Kit 4 and was approved. Kit 4 includes Bupropian and Naltrexone. You start out on lower doses, to limit side effects, and gradually increase your dosage until you are at the full dose. I am on the full dose of Buproprian, but decided not to go to full dose of Naltrexone unless I have to, as it's working so well already. I am on half dose. If my body gets used to it, I will increase, but I have to work to get to 1200 calories. It doesn't feel like anything is happening, but I'm not snacking and I get fuller more quickly. I am subscribing to Noom as well, which is super helpful. You don't really get a weight loss program with HERS, so if you want to develop new habits, I highly recommend the HERS/Noom combo. As far as canceling the subscription, it is super simple on the app. Just select manage subscription and choose cancel. Not sure why people have issues. I have already canceled, but I can undo it if I think I need to stay on longer than 5 months. In all, I want to lose about 15-18 more pounds, though I am not really sure, as my body has changed from age and the prednisone. It's not so much about the scale as how I feel in my own skin. If you can't afford $395, don't put in your CC. Don't ever put in your CC if you don't want to pay. $79 a month is much less than Ozempic (which I am not eligible for), but I understand if it's too much of a pinch. As far as side effects, my blood pressure rose a little (I am on meds, and have a cuff to check at home). It was slight, and losing weight has helped it come down to what it was before I started. I hope to go off meds completely once I reach goal. I am also a little constipated, but not badly. I have never been nauseous or had a headache. I drink the full liter of water, plus more, every day. I also eat pretty cleanly, which I think helps. To recap, couple HERS with a program so that you develop healthy eating and movement habits, drink ALL THE WATER, and listen to your body. You can out eat any meds if you try, but for me, the meds have totally turned off the "food noise." I still enjoy foods when I am eating, but I don't think of snacking or eating my next meal. Also, I know when I eat less sugar or processed foods, I crave them less, even when not on meds, so I feel like my good habits are being solidified.
