Pill pushers
If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I wanted to try Hers because they claim to help those who struggle with anxiety and depression, amongst other things. I knew this company provided supplements for mental health, but I guess I was under the impression I would speak with an ACTUAL human being before being charged for a 3 months supply of medication. I never write reviews for anything, but this whole situation had my blood boiling. I took Hers "mental health assessment" and not too long after, I was categorized in the "psychiatry subscription treatment plan". I was then prompted to their messaging center where I would meet my "psychiatrist". I didn't speak with a psychiatrist. I received a few messages from a nurse practitioner who honestly wrote too fast for me to even believe a real person was on the other end. No conversation was had whatsoever. She prescribed me 2 different types of medication with side effects listed right after. The rest was out of my control. In that short amount of time, unbeknownst to me, my account had been charged and my prescription was on its way. I reached out to support almost immediately and they were no help whatsoever! Honestly, what a joke! All I kept asking myself was how could they oh so casually ship out prescription meds to people? What if I wasn't who I claimed to be in my assessment? What if i had a substance abuse issue and they just sent me 3 months worth of pills? My mind was absolutely blown. Especially at the fact that I never even had a zoom call or a phone conversation with a psychiatrist first. I get it--online is faster, it's super convenient. But this is a dangerous situation as well. When I spoke with a support representative, she had claimed my prescription was already sent to a 3rd party pharmacy, and because of that, a refund/cancellation was not an option and nothing further could be done on her end. It was "out of her hands". I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone that could help me, and she said no and continued to repeat herself. I was so frustrated and in tears at this point, I hung up with her and decided to write an email to support explaining my situation. They did end up canceling my "psychiatry" subscription, but told me a refund was not possible. I filed a claim with my bank but they had told me the claim could take up to 125 days to process. So now I have a box full of narcotics that I don't want in my house. I am seriously contemplating filing a lawsuit. I can't be the only one who's experienced this with Hers. I apologize for the lengthy review.

Hello Sarah, We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We apologize for any confusion regarding our process. Each patient is treated on a case-by-case basis by a licensed healthcare provider. Once you chose your desired treatment, you were then prompted to fill out an online intake form which was then used to gather information for a healthcare provider about your current symptoms, as well as any medical history. The intake form we provide is the medical and legal equivalent of a consultation with a provider since you do not reside in a state that requires more of an in-depth evaluation for your intake form. I really hope this helps clarify things for you. After taking a further look into your account, we do see that you were prescribed for one medication as providers on the Hims and Hers platform can only prescribe one treatment per visit. We also see that you canceled your subscription on 01/03/2023, after your order was already placed. You did not reach out to support until 01/05/2023 to request a refund and there is no prior communication from you requesting to cancel your order or subscription. Since your order was already processed, we were not able to cancel your order. Again, our sincerest apologies for any confusion or inconvenience. While we are not able to offer you a refund for your refill, we can assure you that your subscription is canceled. Unless you choose to make another purchase or reactivate, no further charges or shipments will occur. Since we currently do not accept prescription medication returned to us–regardless of them being unused, unopened or damaged in any event, we recommend following FDA guidelines on how to properly dispose of medications. Please visit the Food & Drug Administration (FDA)'s website to watch a short video on how to do this. We know this isn't what you wanted to hear from us today, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We hope that this information adds some clarity. We wish you all the best moving forward.
