I received a letter in the post that I had driven off, on a particular date without paying for petrol. Flabbergasted I replied however found that date I was not in the area. Since then I’ve been given 3 dates I was at the petrol station. Also told I’d driven off then did pay but should have checked I’d paid. Their tactics are the highest form of bullying I’ve experienced. I’ve gone from willing to pay at the earliest to making formal complaint about how this company can treat people when it’s clear they are errors. What’s wrong with the truth.

Complete lack or integrity and morals
Complete lack or integrity and morals, I cannot understand how big chains can back this firm. Do not abide by any form of consumer law and utilise methods of fear to ensure people pay. Essentially, either pay us what we demand or let's go to court. I'd imagine may just pay but some of us will take a stand and take it all the way.
Images clearly show intent to pay - went into the store (only person in Shell garage), paid for goods and asked for pump number x and tapped and left (how often do people really check the balance of the payment, you expect the shop to be on the ball and price you accordinly). It's clear that the store are at fault with their lone staff member wearing headphones whilst communicating with paying customers (visible in CCTV images), however Forecourt Eye enforce a policy where it's the customers duty to ensure that the staff are doing their job correctly.
I'm happy to pay what I owe as it's my purchase but what I'm not happy to pay is a surcharge of £120 (even though their website says fees are capped at £60!) for £30 worth of fuel for incompetance of a store with a clear trigger as to why my full payment wasn't collected (store assistant was not paying attention and was otherwise engaged listening to whatever they were listening to which surely has to be an issue when working in a place that sells fuel, alcohol, tobacco etc).
This occurance took place in April 2024, post was sent to an old address and returned to sender by the occupants (DVLA were notified but the move was very recent)
UPDATE:
Applied for a Data Subject Access Request to Shell after they washed their hands of the matter, due to it being via a franchised site.
Forecourt Eye & Trace Debt Recovery have not ever won in court. Don't pay them, you'll be ok.

Blood Sucking Vultures
Disgusting company, awful staff. I was fined for "Driving off without paying for fuel" yet the images showed my clearly at the cashiers desk with drinks, with my wallet out paying for them and the fuel. But not Shell, nore the manager at the garage gave a shit, they just wanted to slap me with a £60 fine because I hadn't recieved the letter in the first 14 days due to moving house. Not their proble.

I was fined for an alleged unpaid fuel…
I was fined for an alleged unpaid fuel incident at Shell. The pumps there are fully automated, so it’s impossible to get fuel without authorising payment first. Clearly, this was a system error, but Forecourt Eye has refused to take responsibility or address the issue.
As a result, I’m taking formal action with Trading Standards, the Consumer Ombudsman, and other authorities.
Stay Tuned.

Received a letter from Forecourteye…
Received a letter from Forecourteye stating I had not paid for fuel back in July (4th July) which is over four months old so it’s not like you can remember that far back to know if you were even there on that date, when I looked at the pictures which were four very poor quality pictures of my car at the fuel station, could not even make out myself filling the car, no time stamp to tie the image to the picture of the till transaction, the letter was for £24.50 and the £35 admin fee, I spoke to the lady who was no help and it was a case of pay or less, what I can’t understand is I normally fill my car up at the start of the month as I do not cover a lot of miles, that sort of fill up is normally at the end of the month if I’m running low on fuel, I could see that I filled my car up on the 6th July so why would I not fill the car up full on the 4th if I had been there on that day, and thirdly I fill up and pay at the pump , it does not allow you to fill up until payment is authorised so I cannot believe this is correct and must be a mistake by the garage, I paid just to get rid of the issue but as far as I can see the evidence is not evidence. Lesson learnt I will always now take a receipt, but this really is a scam.

Absolute scum
They sent me a letter saying I had not paid for £30 petrol, so I had a look in my bank statements for that day and BP had charged me for the items I bought but not the petrol. I emailed them back saying I went in to pay and the cashier didn’t put my petrol through. They replied saying this has nothing do with them and it’s my fault. I waited 4 days for a reply to my email and unbeknownst to me they had risen the price to £90 as I hadn’t paid it straight away. It seems like this is a well put together scam and the petrol stations are probably in on it. Vile company and I hope whoever runs this business gets some serious karma. Scumbags.

Absolutely disgusting company
Absolutely disgusting company. Accused me of not paying for fuel over 8 months ago. Sent me a receipt which had a date and time different to the date and time the picture was taken. I then found my back statement which showed I had filled up and paid on the date When I spoke to them they were rude and and just kept speaking over me with absolutely no proof. Fraud at its best. More than happy to go to court on this one.

Nasty little company
Nasty little company, who are employed by the likes of Shell and BP to claim back unpaid fuel expense. Issue is with low level companies like this they are not interested in facts, only in levying increases ‘Penalty’ charges they call admin fees. If you get one of there threatening letters go straight to the fuel company and stick the claim by ForeCourtEye in dispute. Heavens knows people are desperate for jobs, but to work for this nasty little company must really be new low. I suspect they will claim they catch 100’s of would be criminals, but just google who they do go after to see what they are really like.
Update: 28th November 2024. I have reported this nasty little company to Trading Standards and Action Fraud. They are an UNREGULATED Business and NOT covered under the FCA so they can operate outside of the law like all Scam Companies! If you get a letter or had a letter call these people and report them: Action Fraud 03001232040, Trading Standards 03444111444 and the Credit Service Association 01912170775. The tactics this nasty little company employ are akin to extortion and they are 100% SCAM Business. I have also written to Shell and BP advising them that THEIR Supplier acting in such an aggressive manner with people.
