do not use flowers by Nora at any cost
I almost never leave reviews, but this experience deserves one. I ordered flowers and balloons for my daughter's birthday because I couldn't be with her in person. The entire point was to let her know I was thinking about her on her special day. Instead, I received an email late that evening saying they couldn't fulfill the order due to "supply issues" and had already processed a refund. Running out of flowers isn't what I'm upset about. Businesses have problems. The issue is that no one contacted me until it was too late for me to do anything about it. A simple phone call that morning would have made all the difference. I could have ordered from another florist, asked them to deliver just the balloons, accepted a substitute arrangement, or at the very least called my daughter to let her know I hadn't forgotten her birthday. Instead, she spent the day believing I'd forgotten to send her something. There were so many opportunities to handle this better, but the company chose to send an email after the day was essentially over. A refund doesn't fix a missed birthday. Good customer service isn't about never having problems. It's about communicating when they happen. Unfortunately, Flowers by Nora failed completely at that.
