Initial communication was very good; later not too great until I called. Repairman was professional and did an excellent job in diagnosing and on the 2nd visit replacing the broken part, albeit after about 2 weeks. What was disappointing was the additional charge for the service call we incurred and Fixd would not change. When I signed up online for the service call, I chose a later time that was valued at $50. Fixd charged me $100. and when I talked with them, they informed me an additional $50. was mentioned on the website (in the small print). Apparently, I missed that addition or perhaps it did not exist on my page. In any case, they were unflappable about their policy. Too bad for me! So, while we were generally pleased with the repair, we dislike a capricious service charge. Jury is still out as to whether we'll stay with Fixd.

The installation of the new hvac system went well however the downsides that I faced brought the rating down. The first is the double booking and pushing the installation a week further without a properly working ac unit. The second is that I had a time window from 0700-0900. They did not show until 0930.

As any other warranty company, the first thing their contractors do is look for ways to identify why the repair would not be covered under warranty. As we found out, even if the issue was not present at the time of inspection but appeared later, the warranty company can say it's part of wear and tear and won't cover it. Ok the positive spectrum, it's a nice app, easy interface. Still takes a while to get a hold of a human to speak through a situation. Nice and trendy on the outside, but on the inside, same old home warranty, just like any other. Puts their risk first and not satisfaction of the customer.

Seemed unorganized or overwhelmed with business..one of the two. Could have shared what me expectations should be more effectively. The repair to our fridge took so long I actually had to go purchase another fridge to use while waiting for our repair. The guy that came to make our repair was the nicest tech we've ever met. Really cool guy trying to do a good job within the parameters of the resources available to him. Office couldn't find our parts and then suddenly found them. Tech made the effort to back and get the parts to come back to our home the same evening. Kudos to him!

Most of the time they are pretty good. The other day I called about my AC being down, never heard back! Had to go outside the plan for repair.

Make sure you read the fine print, we have had a few surprises when requesting service. Also had issue with a provider, not helping and talking down to my wife, but that is no fault of FIXD.
