I applied and was approved for refinancing w/ PenFed credit union, apparently GM financial made a mistake with the transfer of lien holder, and know FiWize has thrown it back at me, instructing me to go to DMV, to correct GM financials mistake and pay the fees to obtain a copy of the title, Gm financial was suppose to send at no cost, here's a copy of the B.S letter I received from FiWize: Good evening Mr. Robinson, We received notification from GM Financial that they simply cleared the electronic lien on your electronic CA title instead of requesting the paper title and signing off on it. I attached the letter for your review. We need the original paper title in order add your new PenFed Credit Union lien per your loan agreement. How do you get it? I believe you can sign into your CA DMV account like you do for renewals and print your paper title. It will go to the address CA has on file for you. ( I tried to login to DMV,org its not allowing me to print a copy because GM financial is still listed as lien holder ) You can order it from any field office as well. I found this site which is licensed by the State of CA to order titles as well. everyone who visit Calif DMV, knows you have to stand in line for 2-3 hours before you reach the information desk for assistance for why you there, then your given a number and you have wait even longer for your number to be called, THIS IS NOT FAIR!, why should I be inconvenienced for someone else mistake. my experience with FiWize went from Good to terrible stressful situation. maybe treat you right?, I got F..ked, They get 0 stars, I had to give at least 1 star to leave a review.

The only positive part of this process with FiWize was the competitive interest rate. The representatives at FiWize extremely misrepresented the processing time. They originally quoted me a week and it took them close to a month. They said you wouldn’t have to step foot in the DMV to re-register your car which was a lie. They don’t respond to emails asking them for an updated status and timeline of the process. I had to upload my payoff package multiple times because the the loan processor didn’t complete her part within the time limit of the payoff quote. They had incorrect information on loan documents that I told them needed to be corrected before signing anything. Honestly, you are better off just rate shopping with a couple of local credit unions in your area. Guaranteed they will have a great rate and process your loan a lot quicker than FiWize.
