I used ATG for 1 year. Tax strategy sessions were generally good. Tax preparation for 2025 returns (in 2026) were an absolute nightmare. I had a lot of questions which was clearly inconvenient to them. Because we could not file on-time (had to do extension) I missed the opportunity to contribute to my IRA (which they failed to inform me of). After filing I had a payment due on state which accrued penalties…which I would have thought they would have been clear on. I cancelled immediately after filing and my new CPA is suggesting I simply redo the whole thing. They clearly emphasize quantity/throughput and if you need quality time for discussion good luck. If you try to call there is nobody to talk to. Horrible experience.

I have used ATG for the last 2 years. This years tax returns were a nightmare. Submited everything they requested, included all my quickbook reports, charts they requested me to fill out. The person assigned to me this year (the 3rd person since I signed with them) still asked me via email for all the info I sent them in my documents. It was lazy and for what they charge, it was unacceptable. I reached out to the person assigned to me about a week after filing, requesting a meeting to discus how we could simplify next years return.... no response for over a week. So I decided to cancel... or so I thought. I spoke to their cancellation guy last month and he assured me I would no longer be billed. Whelp, they billed me again! This whole process has been a nightmare. Save your self some time and frustration and use a different company!!
