What a disappointment
What a disappointment. I had the exterior of my house painted by Five Star Painting. They give you the impression that they have their own painters but what they do is quote you a price, in my case $17,000., then they bid out the job paying the painters far less, in this case they paid the non English speaking painters $4,000 to paint my house. It took almost 2 weeks to paint my house. The project manager showed up 3 times total and was a condescending little jerk. The painters did a fairly good job but since only one spoke English trying to address issues was nearly impossible. They broke an outdoor light fixture next to my garage door which was one of 8 matching fixtures that were no longer available and also damaged 3 landscape lights. Paint was dripped on my lower patio cement and retaining wall, two window frames were painted with the blue house paint instead of white. Knowing that this crew had worked for two weeks on my house for such a small amount of money I was inclined to let the damaged lights and paint cleanup go. It has been a year since my house was painted and although Five Star advertises a two year warranty on their jobs I called to report numerous spots of paint chipping and lifting, bubbling on the gutters that were painted and the window frames that were not painted correctly. It took over a week to get anyone to reply, someone finally showed up to check the problems. After 2 weeks and not hearing back from them I reached out again and they said there was nothing they could do because it was caused from paint stress from the old paint underneath and they don’t cover that. I would not recommend this business to anyone, very disappointed with the outcome and the customer service which was nil to none.
