I have been on a lot of forums in my time . Moderation is necessary so' trolls ' don't ruin it for the rest of us fish heads .. Been on sites where mods did nothing but brag about their own stuff and paid no attention to the forum itself. Fishlore is good honest fish community. Watch yourself on a couple others who use initials to say their name ..They only want to sell you something...Ask how I know ! I was the # 2 mod on a site when new but left due to lack of anything but sales and bragging... maybe they changed but ? I just like fish and being reputable [decent not a rip off artist in a hobbyist get up]. If you are bragging you are from somewhere else and that makes you better you already have a bad reputation to me . I know what it is really all about .

Sigh. Thank you for airing the side of moderating that most fail to consider, until it’s absence. When we say we have a responsibility to protect the forum and it’s community, that’s not lip service.
