Absolute crap. Have been randomly going off since I bought them. If I had the receipt I’d get a refund. Mute button useless. Cooking without burning anything? First alert 20 feet away goes off. Fresh air coming in through the screen door? Don’t worry, first alert has your back and will go off and will protect you from that fresh air! Nothing at all going on? Ditto. Absolute crap don’t waste your money! Now I’m sleeping with NO alarms (which upgrades the situation from aggravation to negligence) until I get time to spend $ on new (different brand) ones to replace these new ones.

Was using Resideo app and suddenly with no warning, no notice absolutely nothing my Resideo switches to First Alert. No instructions given. I have over three hours searching the web and chatting with First Alert with no success. Absolutely horrible customer service. Only saving grace is that I am currently at home. Tomorrow I will start all over again!!! Can’t delete the device from Resideo because I followed the chat advice and deleted the app. Would line to give no stars!!

Apparently using the disable switch on the back of the co2/smoke detector also disables the warranty! At my cabin that had no sources of CO2 on at the time since it was summer, the thing started going off at 3am. I brought it outside and it kept going off. It was only 2 years old. The only way I could stop it was using the disable switch. When I called about warranty replacement I was told if I used the switch they wouldn't replace it! What a load of s***. I will never buy from first alert again. Going with kidde!

Smoke alarms went off at different times of day. No fire. No gas. No nothing… happened once and I let it go. All 3 that I bought went off randomly with no smoke, steam, gas, or trigger. If you like getting woken up by blaring smoke alarms, randomly… then these are for you!!!

Hit a link on first alert canada.ca, where to buy and was directed to Firstalertstore.com placed an order only to realize that the first alert canada smoke detector was priced in US $ , with the extortionate shipping fee plus the canadian customs duites ended up paying almost double the costco price. What a bunch of scammers

Products are sub par. They are not user friendly. Almost impossible to open the battery compartment. I've used First Alert for 25+ years. Just moved into a home with 5 smoke/carbon monoxide detectors - 3 Kiddle and 2 First Alert. I will NEVER buy a First Alert again. The designer seems to be a moron.

A true piece of junk. Don't buy it. The sensors go off randomly and you can't event stop them from their piece of junk app.

Unable to level the safe. Rocks and rolls on uneven concrete. A pry bar fits easily under the safe. Crap.
