Hi John,
I’m not sure you meant this review for us. We are not the government nor police nor the international airline and you were never a client of ours. I would suggest you review whomever you are mad at and try to resolve it. However i cannot even understand what your grievances are based on this review. Please remove it

I just want my refund!!!
UPDATE!
On 5/21/22 I received a refund of $2055. along with a letter that I suppose was sent to my credit card company after I RETRACTED the chargeback!
I was very surprised at the refund amount as I was expecting $3260 as Melissa had outlined below, and I corresponded this to Melissa by email. I was not notified of any change in refund status by email or letter! What kind of retaliation is this? I feel I am still owed the balance of $1205. See below.

Kaly,
Ok lets try it this way....
Land Price was $4346.90 and you paid a $750 non refundable deposit, then you canceled and the cancellation penalty is 25 % of the $4346.90 which is a total of $1086.73. You then filed a chargeback which would add an additional 10% of $4346.90 which is $434.69 as an administrative fee. When we add $434.69 + $1086.73= $1521.42. The number $1521.45 is irrelevant since you voided the chargeback so the only amount we are keeping is $1086.73 and you are being refunded is $3260
Make Sense?

I planned a trip to Bora Bora for April 2022 and cancelled January 2022. In the meantime I cancelled the payment with my credit card company, which created a chargeback. After speaking with Melissa, I agreed that I owed her company fees for canceling and she agreed to refund my balance of $3260.00 after I canceled the chargeback, which I did in January 2022. Since January 2022 we have been emailing back and forth, I am asking for status of my refund, and Melissa is stating that her Merchant Bank has not received the funds from my credit card company. I had my cc company lodge a "research dispute" to find out why my company did not deposit funds back to FujiTravel? The response from my credit card company came back as the funds were deposited to the merchant bank on Jan 28, 2022 after the chargeback was canceled??? I follow up with Melissa weekly, monthly and sometimes she replies that she "has to check with her merchant and will get back with me" other times there is no response at all!! The last I corresponded in April 2022, she stated she was on vacation and would respond upon her return. To date I have not had a reply regarding my refund and I asked her if we could do a conference call with her merchant so I could hear for myself that they still have not received the funds. I just want my refund which Melissa stated she would refund immediately after receiving the funds. I have all my correspondence and replies from and to Melissa and as I stated previously I just want my refund for a trip I did not take!

Kaly, Here is a reply in detail as to why the refund changed.
January 25,2022
Case #0302201443660
To Whom This May Concern,
My client Kaly Turner booked a trip to Tahiti on August 4, 2021. The trip/ itinerary was agreed upon and the resort accommodations and transfers were all secured on her behalf in agreement with our booking conditions outlined on our contract and noted on each quote sent to the client. Her claim that this was a “recurring charge” is not accurate as there were 2 payments made, a deposit and a balance. She also stated in her chargeback statement that “she no longer wanted the service or product”. We accepted her written cancellation 81 days prior to her departure which puts her 25% of the land payment as a penalty and a $469 administration fee.
Her $750 non refundable deposit was paid on 8-4-21 and she provided her credit card via our credit card authorization form for the non refundable deposit .She accepted our Booking conditions (terms and conditions and payment terms) which outlined the payment schedule and terms upon which we accept the booking. Ms Turner approved the non refundable deposit and final payment via our signed contract. The balance was charged on 08 January 2022 and it was late as it was due 04 January 2022 .
Per the terms and conditions set forth on our contract and website the following will apply as the cancellation was received less than 81 days prior to departure there are limited refunds.
This is an unethical filing of a chargeback as we had approved quotes and signed credit card authorization and signed contracts in place that outlined the terms. Our contracts and credit card authorization forms meet the requirements of our merchant agreement in having the clients sign next to each line item of the terms and conditions.
The deposits are non refundable in the amount of $750 as they are a fee for research, planning and work that has been completed on the clients behalf.
The terms and conditions state that any cancellations within 81 days of departure date are penalized by withholding 25% of the land cost plus an administration fee of 10%.
The client accepts these terms and conditions and said she canceled the chargeback on 21 January with Chase bank.
Please see the following supporting documentation attached:
Clients proposed/confirmed Itinerary and contract accepting the terms and conditions
Terms and conditions( 6 pages)
Receipt #1 $750
Receipt for balance
In closing, Ms Turner has the right to cancel the booking and we respect that right but we do not agree that filing a chargeback is within her rights because she signed the contract and credit card authorization form acknowledging she understood all booking conditions and terms. Ms Turner reached out to our company for services, services were rendered to her satisfaction as she signed both the contract and the credit card authorization approving the amounts to be charged. We encourage all clients to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to protect their travel investment. We would appreciate you redepositing the $3576 into our accounts and we will refund Ms Turner the amount due per the terms and conditions which is $2055.
Sincerely, Melissa Pomeroy

I have been trying since March to get a…
I have been trying since March to get a refund. Melissa canceled my reservation without informing me, saying it was a group reservation and that she didn’t take direction from the individual clients. She said I would have a voucher for travel to Fiji later (if they allow Americans) but won’t tell me the dates for which it is valid (since she won't tell me when she booked the tickets- see below) I gave her $1800 for tickets which cost $1400. She said in March that she would return to the office on June 1 to deal with this (she did NOT say she would not refund my money), but hasn't responded to my emails. She is simply not responding to my emails asking for a refund of the difference. So I am apparently out $1800 for $1400 tickets I was canceled for, while she makes a profit of $400. I really wish I had booked the flights myself.
2nd update: Well thanks. Who knew that posting a review was such an efficient (albeit public) way to get answers to the questions I have been asking since March. Much better than that old fashioned email! same day response and so friendly! I am pleased to know that the extra money will go to the Lomoma Foundation, although perplexed why I wasn't told this in response to my queries three months ago.

Mr Partridge seems to be confused. He needs to contact the company he paid to join this medical mission.
We do the ticketing for a medical missionary team that services the great people of Fiji with several medical missions per year. We work with the group coordinators and do not work with the passengers unless there are deviations that require us to do so.
We are paid by the charity and we do not collect payments from the volunteers directly as all the payments for these groups are run through the charity and include a small donation. We never collected any payments from him therefore we do not have any funds to refund nor are we aware of any pricing that the group leader charged the group. He has been advised that his travel credit is valid for 1 year from the date of issue on anywhere Fiji Airways flies. The date of issue as listed on his E ticket which he has a copy of was 04 December.
Mr Partridge, I have always responded to you same day via email. I did not respond regarding a refund as you know you never paid money to us and I had directed you to contact Loloma back in March hence they were copied in. We dont speak to participants on price, conditions etc as they are at the direction of Loloma. The only outstanding item you were waiting on from me was your date of issue which is stated on your E ticket.
Hopefully he can sort this out.

I would never usually make a negative…
I would never usually make a negative review towards a company unless I truly felt others should know about the experience. This past summer, I had the priviledge of traveling to Fiji with a friend of mine. I had worked with a travel agent at Fiji Vacations for my travel bookings (i.e flights & accomodations). Unfortunately, from the moment I booked, nothing was as I had hoped. My travel documents were supposed to have been finalized within the next few days, however, weeks later, I finally recieved my itinerary just days before I was to leave (I spent a few weeks prior to Fiji traveling Bali- since service is limited in these areas, I needed my finalized documents sent before leaving the US). It wasn't until I began flying that I came into more problems. As previously mentioned, prior to Fiji, I spent three weeks traveling around Bali. This only meant I had lots of luggage. The travel agent had informed me that I would be able to make my bags 23 kg. I was not informed that the 23 kg was the total weight for my bags, not the individual weight. Airlines abroad charge $15 per extra kg, unlike in the U.S where it is simply a $50 extra bag fee. My first flight's baggage from Bali to Fiji almost cost me $500 (USD). I had two more connections to go and knew that I would only have to continue paying these outrageous fees. The check-in assistant informed that my travel agent could have extended the weight to 40 kg total, however, because I had booked through a third party, I personally no longer could change the alloted weight on my account. The overall travel time was extremely stressful and overwhelming. Finally, I land in Fiji and my driver accomodations were great. There was someone waiting for us who immediately took us to our transfer. Our "resort" was called Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. Our travel agent did not inform us that our "room" was not a room at all, but a bed. Bathrooms and showers were communal, and meals were only open at certain hours of the day. Upon arrival, lunch had been closed down. However, after 20+ hours of traveling, we were starved. Unlike a typical hotel which would have been accomodating to our needs, the only thing we were offered by Blue Lagoon was a bag of chips that we would have to purchase (although we had already purchased the meal plan for that day). We left the resort immedialtely and found another resort nearby which we felt extremely comfortable, welcomed, and happy at. Despite our terrible experiences, we were never refunded for the our hotel stay. We lost a lot of money and did not receive kind responses from the travel agent. I can't help but feel as though our young age resulted is poorer treatment as a client. Rather than being apologetic, she was accusatory. I just don't believe that this is how business should be done. I wish the next travelers a great experience in Fiji! Thank you for hearing about my experience.

Dear Amanda,
I am writing to address your review you left for our company on Trustpilot. We take reviews very
seriously and we look at all reviews as a way to improve our service. Unfortunately, this review is riddled
with inaccuracies and I need to reply formally as I feel you have misrepresented the facts. I am hoping that you will recall the facts as I have
laid out and possibly step back and accept some responsibility.
Timeline-
5/17- Amanda called and requested assistance with flights from Bali to Fiji and to Greece
5/18- Our air department created an itinerary and pricing
5/19- Amanda emailed asking when the best time to speak would be and I emailed her the flight
itinerary to review. Note that the flight itinerary shows the baggage allowance for each segment.
5/22- We speak on the phone finalizing the tickets and I suggest several resort that she can
spend an additional 5 nights at in the Yasawa Islands as well as the seaplane transportation.
While we discussed the seaplane allowing less luggage I informed Amanda about the baggage
policy for Fiji Airways which is a strict 1 piece of checked luggage and I infored Amanda that she
could check her additional bags in a locker in Nadi. Unfortunately many of the resorts we were
looking into were indeed sold out for her dates. I spoke to her about Blue Lagoon Beach Resort
and mentioned that their only accomodation left was the Bula Lodge Room which was a private
room and shared bathrooms/showers. She did not object to that. She looked at the resort online
as well and approved it. I sent a breakdown of costs and a credit card authorization form via
docusign which she returned as we needed to issue the tickets.
Breakdown of costs as listed on Docusign:
"Amanda, Thanks for the call.
The flights from DPS-SIN-NAN-TVU-SIN-ATH are the same price as quote previously and I need to ticket today.
Flights $2834
BLBR with meals $1400
Seaplane round trip $890
Total $5124"
The Docusign was returned, Amanda’s credit card declined and she was advised. She provides
Linda’s (mother) credit card and we successfully issue her tickets. I then sent her the detailed
itinerary showing the room category being Lodge Room at Blue Lagoon Beach Resort.
5/23- Amanda emails asking for flight confirmation and receipts of land charges. I advised that
her companions American Express is missing some digits to complete the charge. Amanda
send the missing cvr code and their land payments are successfully charged and receipts are
emailed immediately. I receive an email from Linda Jones on 5/23 asking about any shots or vaccines
Amanda may need and I reply that Fiji is free from all tropical diseases then Linda emails again
and asks about Bali and I did not book that for her so I cannot answer that since I am not privy
to her travel details in Bali.
5/25- Linda calls the office, Caroline from my office forwards a copy of her E tickets and waits on
the phone while Linda confirms that she has received it. The email was copied to Amanda too. *All of the baggage restrictions/weights were clearly listed on the eticket so to say that information was not conveyed to you is not true either.
6/5- All of your travel documents were emailed to you, including E tickets, BULA BOOK, Travel
Vouchers for Blue Lagoon Beach Resort and Turtle Airways and all vouchers detail out the
specifics for each particular portion of the trip. We even provide a direct link to the carriers
baggage policies for the clients to click and read.
7/11- Linda calls my cell (emergency number for the business at 4am) then emails me at
4:51am asking about baggage and I forwarded her the copy of Travel Documents that Amanda
had received 37 days prior. I then called her and spoke to her explaining that these were items
out of our control. Linda mentioned that she had been buying alot of items and her baggage was
expanding as the travel continued.
7/11-7/18- I received several more texts from Linda. Mostly very confused about seaplanes and
inter island planes which I cleared up.
Now that we have an accurate timeline I wanted to respond to your review.
Amanda first reached out on 17 May and she was completely finalized 23 May which included
the 19 and 20 May where we are closed (weekend) so her entire trip was indeed finalized in 4
business days. The E tickets state the baggage allowance for each and every segment on them
and we cannot be responsible if clients do not read or look at their travel documents. Every
single carrier has their own rules and baggage fees posted on their websites and I emailed my
clients a link to read them with their travel documents. I did have a long discussion about the
room at Blue Lagoon Beach Resort and I explained that the Garden Villas were all sold out and
you were OK with the accommodations as we had discussed. We discussed leaving extra
luggage at the seaplane base or in a locker at Nadi airport and you admit that I mentioned the
23 kg as I would have no idea how large or small or the number of bags a client would have.
You say after 20+ hours of travel time you were starved. You had breakfast at Rainbow Reef
Resort the morning of 20 July and flew 1 hour 10 minutes from Taveuni Island to Nadi airport.
Your flight departed Taveuni at 12 noon and you arrived in Nadi just after 1pm and there is a
small snack stand at Taveuni airstrip. Inside Nadi airport there are several restaurants including
a Burger King, coffee shop, vending machine etc. Your seaplane driver was waiting for you
upon arrival from Taveuni and he would have gladly waited should you wanted to grab a snack
from the snack shop right there. We have received records from the seaplane company that the
clients were picked up at 200pm from Nadi Airport and that their departure from the seaplane
base was at 2:30pm arriving in the Yasawas at approximately 3pm. Indeed you arrived after
lunch hours but from door to door your travel time was 5 hours max and NOT 20+ hours as you
mention with several opportunities to grab a bite to eat. You did arrive at the resort outside of
their lunch service hours but according to the front desk it was your dissatisfaction with the room
that caused you to leave Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. Blue Lagoon Beach Resort also offers an
all day menu for purchase which I have attached here. I freely express that the Lodge Rooms
are very basic, just a king bed, dresser and nightstands and that was communicated to the
clients. It is a great option for clients on a budget wanting to experience the beauty of the
Yasawas. Again we sent the client documentation 37 days prior to departure and there was not
one question asked from the client, nor any communication from the client until the excess
baggage issue when her mother reached out. Had our client read the very detailed Bula Book
and looked over the vouchers, E tickets and information we provided we feel that her
disappointment could have been avoided.
Respectfully,
Melissa
