I’m not sure what’s going on with FH FURR. I’ve been with them for a very long time and never had an issue until the original owner sold to this new company and it’s been downhill ever since. I’m trying to pay for my yearly membership and they hung up on me while I was waiting in queue telling me they will call me back in 2 minutes that was 25 minutes ago. I called back again and got the same person who gave me the same story and then tells me she’s gonna expedite my call to the people who can make my payment for my yearly membership. They other issue is cost they want to nickel and dime you for everything they do and we’re not talking $100 or $200 it’s $1,000s of dollars for example just this summer I had them come out for my faucet in the back of my house that was leaking for the 2nd time after they replaced all my plumbing a few years earlier, their technician came out and quoted me $1400 to replace the outside faucet knob or $600 to try to stop it from leaking . I declined and my husband went to Home Depot and bought a new outside faucet and replaced it himself, which took 30 minutes and cost less than $100 to fix and hadn’t leaked since. Shop around I’m sure you can find cheaper prices and quality work someplace else with better customer service.

This company merged with Climate Solutions. I found Climate Solutions to be out of this world awesome. Since they merged I am treated like I am 2 and I am 81 and I am refused to talk to anyone that I knew before they merged. Some have left. If their employees from Climate Solutions are treated like their paying customers, I can certainly understand why and I agree. They are so nasty and unprofessional when they answer the phone. They refuse to answer your questions. If nothing else works, they send you to their so-called Customer Service which I the woman told me was their Answering Service when they are busy. I had a heat pump replaced by Climate Solutions. There is information that I need but I don't see that happening. I would avoid them like the plague that they are. What happened to the other company that I was told merged with them, I have no idea. As a paying customer I should have the right to speak to someone that knows how to treat people instead of being blocked and lied too. That is unacceptable. They need to go out of business because you are not going to get anywhere with them. Since my heat pump is still under warranty I certainly do not under any circumstances want to deal with FHFurr. It has been a long time since I have to deal with such unprofessional and nasty and rude people. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM AND LET EVERYONE YOU KNOW HOW THEY TREAT THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS. Extremely inflated quotes based on scope of work that needed to be done, and that was just a diagnosis not even the work. A 10 minute job and charging 600$ plus. Absolutely absurd on your systems pricing. Charging 6 times the cost compared to your competitors is insane for the same work.

581 bucks to replace one circuit breaker. Just another private equity company up selling and overcharging uneducated consumers for corporate greed. Avoid like a bad habit, zero stars.

We had a new HVAC system installed on 6/15/26. We had Montgomery County DPS and WSSC inspect the new system on 6/26/26 and 6/30/26 and both companies failed it. Since then, we have called, emailed to no avail to have them repair to pass inspection. As of today, 7/15/26, we have not received a call back. I called again today, and asked to speak with a manager, was put on hold for 7 minutes, and was transferred to voice mail. We have no idea, if, or when, this will be repaired. Luckily for us, the system is working. I will be looking for a new HVAC company when our maintenance agreement expires. FH FURR is absolutely the worst when it comes to communication.

New homeowner here. The previous owner used this company to install a new heat pump just months before listing the house for sale. They also paid for a warranty that explicitly states it transfers to the new owners, which was even included as a selling point in the listing. We’ve had an issue with the system and have been calling for three weeks now. Instead of honoring the warranty or giving us a clear answer, they’ve continued giving us the runaround. Based on this experience, I would stay clear of this company and definitely would not buy any warranty plans through them. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Also, I would highly recommend you find a different company to install any new systems. Their “guarantee of no issues in the first 2 years” of a new installation is not only false, but if there is a problem, they’ll find any reason to not do anything.

Long time preferred plan customer for more than a decade. Scheduled free routine preferred plan cooling system maintenance inspection for my dual zone system and immediately confronted with “perceived” a/c issues before maintenance check started. Less than one hour into service technician’s inspection, was immediately told compressor in one of my units mysteriously “burned out” while technician was inspecting the unit. Proposed solution was replacing the whole system at a well above fair market price and financing through FHFurr. Immediately skeptical of “burned out” unit as I could clearly see technician had pulled the a/c unit’s breaker. Obviously, the compressor will not run if electrical power to the compressor is interrupted. While watching, I told the technician to reinstall the breaker. Miraculously, the compressor returned to normal operation. Service technician’s post inspection write up which, I have in my possession, stated, “Common winding in compressor burned out while I was here. Then went back on after about an hour.” If a motor or other electrical system is “burned out” it’s not returning to normal operation. When the FHFurr company was first acquired from the Furr’s by HomeServe, there was a noticeable change in the company’s culture, and not a good one. Since Brookfield Infrastructure Partners acquisition of HomeServe, the FHFurr business model now appears to be overly focused on aggressively upselling repairs, replacements, questionable warranty maintenance plans, and expensive memberships. As a result, this long-time customer’s confidence, and business, has been lost.

One of the worst companies out there to do home repair up sell and outrages quotes are standard procedure. The tech was mediocre and not knowledgeable. Only knowledgeable about the worthless service plan. I had them out to look at my HVAC compressor. Provided a $4000 quote to fix it. Did not provide an itemized quote for the parts. On the spot, I googled the parts cost was $29 for a Capacitor and $500 for a fan motor that was failing. Then I am sent a "QUOTE - PEACE OF MINE" in an e-mail costing $2500. Price gauging at its best. Avoid them at all costs. Constant upselling of a worthless support plan. Never deal with them.
